Customer Review Summary

Curried goat is the dish reviewers raise most, with one calling it the best they have tasted and others praising its depth of flavour and the extra gravy on the rice. Close behind is the jerk chicken, described as fresh from the grill and moist, often paired with rice and beans or baked macaroni with oxtail sauce. Fried chicken and dumplings also earn mentions, and the dumplings are a favourite for one regular household and were given free as a trial to another diner. Reviewers repeatedly describe the staff as friendly, noting that the team remembers regulars and chats while orders are prepared, and several call the space homely and welcoming with simple decor. The main complaint concerns portions: one reviewer found a large portion too small for what they paid and felt a bit robbed, though another found the curry goat small but generous. One passer-by also reports a woman from the premises yelling at their son for putting paper in a bin outside. Several reviewers say they plan to return, one after travelling a distance, and the smell of chicken on the BBQ drew one diner in from the car park.

“Stopped in whilst at the golf shop nearby. Was getting in my car and the smell of the chicken on the BBQ was too much! A few people were sat eating, it felt really homely and comfortable. Ordered curry goat - a small portion but it was generous. The taste was truly sensational, such depth of flavour with the extra gravy on the rice. Already looking forward to visiting again.”

“It's my second time visiting this restaurant. I was drawn by the authentic Caribbean food aroma. I tried the jerk chicken and baked macaroni option with some oxtail sauce this time and my taste buds were tantalised by this meal. I felt like I was right there in Jamaica. The staff were on point with their amazing customer service and the environment was clean and welcoming. Did I mention that the jerk chicken was fresh from the grill. Simply delish! I'll also use this opportunity to wish all my Jamaican people a speedy recovery from the blow of #HurricaneMelissa.”
