About Tattu Leeds
On E Parade in Leeds, Tattu Leeds is a Chinese restaurant that serves its own creative take on dim sum rather than the traditional versions. Wagyu beef dumplings feature in that dim sum, and the Salt Grilled Japanese Black Wagyu also appears on the menu. A 3 course menu is offered for those who prefer a set order of dishes. The interior combines dark woods, cherry blossoms and mood lighting. The servers give recommendations on food and drinks, point guests toward cocktails and small plates, and take allergies into account when advising on dishes. The restaurant works on a walk-in basis.

Customer Review Summary
Attentive, friendly table service is what reviewers raise most, with several crediting one waiter who topped up water between courses, folded napkins for guests who had stepped away, and brought the bill straight away on request. Close behind is the food, described as beautifully presented and full of flavour. The Wagyu beef dumplings, honey glazed pork, Angry Chicken, BBQ chicken and Salt Grilled Japanese Black Wagyu draw praise, and one reviewer calls the dim sum Tattu's own creative take rather than the traditional kind. The chocolate brownie, sticky toffee pudding and lemon drop also earn mentions, as does a setting of dark wood, cherry blossoms and mood lighting. Two reviewers were let down by the kitchen. One was served Kung Pao Shrimp instead of Kung Pao Tofu and received a different Wagyu dumpling than requested. Their duck fried rice arrived with no seasoning, and the table was handed salt and pepper rather than the dish being corrected. Another found the mains average, with a fish dish that looked sauced as an afterthought, and waited a long time to get extra rice.

“The customer service from making a reservation(even when we were late, yet still accommodated for)to being served and paying, was absolutely faultless. We was waited on by Ryan mostly, of whom said he’d worked there for about a year and was an absolute credit to the team with his interpersonal skills, rapport building and attentive nature. Ryan went beyond by topping up our glasses of water in between courses off his own back, attending and folding our guest’ napkins when they had left the table to visit the toilet amongst other things, and granted my wish to bring the bill and take payment straight away instead of that dreaded 15-20 minute wait that you usually get in other venues. Specific courses that were extremely gorgeous were the Wagyu beef dumplings and Honey glazed pork which looked amazing and were full of flavour, just a shame we didn’t have time to stay to try a desert. Highly recommend this place!! Thank you, and well done team Tattu😁”

“We had the most amazing meal at Tattu! We went for the two of us and honestly couldn’t fault a thing. I had the BBQ chicken, which was absolutely delicious, while my partner had the Salt Grilled Japanese Black Wagyu — both dishes were incredible and beautifully presented. The whole evening was such a lovely experience, from the food to the atmosphere and most importantly, the service. A special mention to Ryan, who looked after us throughout the evening. He was so attentive, friendly and thorough, and really made our experience extra special. Would 100% recommend Tattu Leeds and we’ll definitely be returning!”

“Having looked for a place to celebrate my birthday, we finally decided on Tattu in Leeds. As a lover of Asian cuisine as well as beautiful interior decor, this place was a must. And I am thrilled to say we were not disappointed. We were seated in short order and given plenty of time to decide what we wanted to eat and drink. The waiting staff were helpful and offered advice when we queried the menu. Finally we settled on the 3 course menu. While we waited for our food we were able to soak in the atmosphere and admire the beautiful interior. Dark woods, cherry blossoms and mood lighting make for a wonderful setting and whoever maintains the interior should be proud. The food took a short while and when it arrived, it was worth the wait. The starters were beautiful and very well presented. My daughter was thrilled with her fish shaped appetiser! We had asked for the mains to be brought around the same time and they arrived a few minutes later and were stunning. The Angry Chicken was delicious. The salmon was cooked to perfection and the noodles for my daughter were perfect. The food was divine. I didn't think they would be able to improve upon the mains and then the desserts arrived... Oh my. The chocolate brownie was perfect. It was warm, moist and flavoured perfectly. The sticky toffee pudding was delicious and the lemon drop was fresh and tangy. The desserts were stunning. I am so glad we came here for food. It was beautiful. The decor was stunning and the atmosphere was just right. It's clear to see why Tattu has such a good reputation. I would 100% recommend Tattu.”

“Came here especially from Sheffield to celebrate my graduation. Heard big things about the place and the price point suggested it too. Was sincerely disappointed at the quality of the food. The starters were good (forgot to take a photo) but the mains were average at best. Just dressed up well with little regard for flavour. Hopefully you can see the back end of a fish that has just had a sauce ladled on it like an afterthought. For a small place, service was poor given how little we were checked in on and how long we’d have to wait to get someone’s attention to get extra rice and sides. I held this place in great regard and saved it up to celebrate after 5 years of hard work getting through medical school, but was such a poor way to end a special day. I regret it immensely. If you wish for just aesthetically dressed up food and a good atmosphere and the feeling of “I splurged today” then crack on with this place. If you want flavours to match the price, I’d recommend elsewhere.”

“Had a really lovely meal at Tattu Leeds. The food was beautifully presented and packed with flavour, and the service was great throughout. The dim sum was a standout for us. It's not like the traditional Chinese dim sum, but Tattu's own creative take, and it was absolutely delicious. Definitely worth trying if you're visiting. The only small suggestion I'd make is to include a few more fresh salad or vegetable dishes to help cleanse the palate between courses. As everything is so rich and full of flavour (in a good way!), having something lighter alongside would make the overall meal feel even more balanced. A special mention to our server, Gabby, who was so friendly and lovely. She was attentive without being overbearing and made us feel really welcome. Overall, a great experience with amazing food, excellent service, and a beautiful setting. We'd happily come back and would definitely recommend it.”
