About The Tetley
The Tetley is a pub in Leeds, set on a former brewery site that Kirkstall Brewery now leases. A "brew-seum" and décor with throwbacks to the brewery's past sit alongside a bar where beer is the focus, so visitors can look at the site's brewing story while they drink. The kitchen serves a Sunday roast of beef topside with roast potatoes and a large Yorkshire pudding. Marmalade gammon and a brisket sandwich are also on the menu. The pub is open daily. Merchandise is on sale, and glasses are available to buy.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the beer, with one calling it well looked after and another praising the Midnight Bell, and the indoor and outdoor seating gets steady mention. The food earns close attention too. The brisket loaded fries, calamari, tempura prawns and a Sunday lunch of beef topside with a massive yorkshire pudding are all praised, and one reviewer describes the fish and chips as light with tightly adhering batter. The kitchen draws a recurring complaint, though. A different diner calls the fish and chips a fish finger and says staff replied that it was a standard portion, and advises ordering something else. One group reports a ploughman's with plastic burger cheese instead of cheddar, mouldy sourdough and a dry veggie pie. Others found the sticky toffee pudding not sticky, the desserts small, and only two potatoes with a Sunday roast. Staff are mostly called friendly and attentive, and reviewers finish on the brewery throwbacks inside and the option to buy a branded glass.

“The pie was so nice but the sticky toffee pudding and the affogato were not the best unfortunately… Sticky toffee pudding is meant to be sticky 😔 sad to pay £6 for such small desserts when the crumble was the same price and much larger and tastier! Otherwise the staff were very nice and it was a pretty building”

“Nice bar with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Well decorated in side with throwbacks to the brewery. A good lunch menu too. A nice range of merch - and you can buy your glass for £2.50!”

“So I love this place. Been going a while and you cannot fault the beer. Absolute amazing beer and well looked after. The staff are friendly and attentive but something has gone wrong in the kitchen. Went with a group recently and the Ploughman's had the plastic burger cheese instead of what was stated as cheddar on the menu. Somebody else got mouldy sourdough and another got a very dry veggie pie with cabbage that was more brown than green. It's so sad, maybe just an off day but I hope they sort it out. Gutted”

“First time having Sunday Lunch.. Now im not a Sunday Lunch kind of girl but had to give the Lunch a go has heard good reviews. Started with the Calamari followed by Beef Topside. The Calamari was perfectly cooked, crunchy and tasted fresh. Beef Lunch came with 2 thixk slices of beef, carrots, broccoli, parsnips, red and white cabbage, roast potatoes and massive yorkshire pudding. It was delicious 😋 the y/pudding was gorgeous! The whole Lunch was delicious 😋 Husband had the marmalade gammon again his plate was clean nothing left!”

“Thoroughly enjoyed our time at The Tetley. Atmosphere was great, service was wonderful. The food was good, but the portion of potatoes left much to be desired. As a self proclaimed potato lover, only serving two with a Sunday Roast, was in my eyes a travesty.”
