Customer Review Summary
Steak draws the warmest praise, with one diner calling it perfectly cooked and seasoned and another describing big portions. Close behind is the train theme, with booths made from train seating, train window designs on the walls and themed posters, plus staff described as friendly and lovely. One visitor also found the pizza delicious and generously sized. Complaints cluster around takeaway and delivery. Several describe orders arriving very late and cold, with burnt or soggy pizzas, soggy chips, and a chicken burger that was barely warm. A couple say the place used to be great and mention repeated burnt pizzas, overcharging and collection waits that ran past what they were told. In the dining room, one reviewer waited for a scotch whisky coffee that never arrived, and said service faded after a friendly start. Another sent back a dry, overcooked gammon and got a replacement minutes later that looked like the same plate flipped over.

“Got a takeaway pizza and chips. The pizza was nice but the chips were disgusting, they were reheated chips. They must of been sitting a while they were not edible Won’t be back”

“Took 2 hrs to deliver and food was terrible. One Pizza was burnt, one was soggy and the chicken burger was just about warm but the baps were again soggy. Chips were soggy as well. Never be using Carriages again.”

“Repeatedly have had bad service here, received pizzas that have been burnt black, been over charged and have waited over an hour to collect pizzas after being told it'd only be another 15-20 minutes. Place used to be great but not anymore. Comments left on the Facebook page are just deleted instead of being acknowledged, highly unprofessional.”
