  “Amazing place near the river, with tablets just with the views to Thames. Refreshing cocktails Aperol and dessert drink Don Pedro were so good, we enjoyed. Seafood was the thing we came here from Central London. I should say the portions were generous and everything tasted so good! Service was amazing as well, everyone is so polite and courteous. Can recommend the place !”

  “Michelle, our waitress, was exceptionally attentive and always there whenever we needed anything. We were a large family group with a very busy 2-year-old and four other children, and she made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We had requested a specific table setup and arrived before our reservation to ask whether it might be possible. Given how busy the restaurant was, I honestly doubted it could be arranged. However, when we returned for our booking, everything had been set up exactly as we had hoped. It was perfect. The food was amazing, and the desserts and cappuccinos were the perfect finishing touch to a wonderful meal. The children especially enjoyed spending time by the riverside watching the ducks,pigeons amd swans,while we relaxed and enjoyed the atmosphere. Our families had come together from Wallington and Malawi, and we chose Ocean Basket Kingston as our dinner place. We are so glad we did, as it turned into a truly memorable and delicious experience. The entire team contributed to making our day special.We work in the hospitality industry ourselves, so we particularly appreciate great service when we experience it. We genuinely enjoyed your hospitality and were impressed by the care and attention shown by Michelle and the Ocean Basket Kingston team. Thank you for a wonderful experience.   “We have been here a couple of times and we can’t get enough. It’s definitely our families fave seafood places. The platters are a decent price and great for sharing. The staff are always soo welcoming and the fish is delicious. If you like you can sit on their deck that over looks the river. If you need step free access they have seating on the ground floor with a disabled toilet. If you are going on a weekend make sure you make a reservation.”

  “We had a lovely meal here. As it was a beautiful day, we stayed on the terrace. We had a perfect catch platter for two which was just right and the white sangria. Everything was just lovely and our waitress CMA was very polite and prompt to look after us. To note that the outside area is a smoking area, but luckily the wind was in our favour.”

  “It was our first time here today and boy it's good! We had Oysters (tasted so fresh), Platter for two (everything was perfectly cooked and so tasty) with two soft shell crabs ( just delicious! And the sauce they come with 👌🏼). Reasonably priced, fresh tasting seafood which is hard to beat. Add to that the super friendly staff and a view of the Thames. What more could you ask for on a sunny birthday 🎂. Will definitely be going back soon. You have to give it a try.”

  “You guys are incredible. We didn't expect to find such high quality, freshness and delicious seafood in the middle of England. The service is excellent, the staff gives useful advice. Of course, everyone already knows about this place, because there were so many people who wanted to come and taste this treasure. Special thanks for the "sharing plates": this way you can try 5-7 different types of seafood and get maximum pleasure 💞😍 Therefore, it is better to book in advance, especially if you want to grab a seat outside by the river.”

  “What a fantastic evening. Great Service and fantastically fresh food. Between the 3 of us, we had a platter for 2 to share for £50 and a PRawn and calamari combo for £15 : full of flavour and simply succulent. We order a sparkling prosecco sangria for £16- very good as well. OB adds a 12.5 % surcharge which we thought is well-desrved. Do park in the multitude storey nearby.”

  “Everything was lovely overall. The seafood was fresh, the seasoning was just right. We sat outside and the view was stunning in the sunshine. Sam and another male staff member gave us excellent service throughout the meal. One concern I’d like to mention is safety on the stairs. As we were leaving, I kept to the left while walking up because I was worried about people coming down. A female staff member suddenly bumped into me while shouting toward the bar, which startled me and almost caused me to lose my balance. The stairs are quite narrow, and I had to shift position in an unsafe way. Given my age, this felt quite risky. I hope the restaurant can improve staff awareness around safety on the stairs.”

  “This was my second visit to Ocean Basket, and it’s still a great spot overall. The location is amazing!! I really love the view of the river, and the atmosphere is always lively as it tends to be packed and busy. Service was friendly and quick despite how busy it was, which is always a plus. We started with the dynamite prawns and whitebait, but unfortunately, they were a bit disappointing. The prawns were basically fried with some buffalo sauce added on top so they didn’t quite live up to the “dynamite” name. The whitebait were also quite flavourless. For the main, we ordered the platter for two to share, and that’s where things improved a lot. The prawns and mussels were especially good…fresh, tasty, and well cooked. Overall, it’s a good destination with reasonable prices. Despite the starters, it’s still worth a visit, especially for the mains and the great location.”

  “Sam took care of us and he was very kind and sweet. I already prefer this place because of the service everyone is so friendly and respectful. The food is also delicious; I really like the fresh fish and I absolutely love the rice. Everything is wonderful. In fact, we’re going there again this Saturday as a group, and it will be quite crowded. Many thanks again to everyone”
