“What a shambles !!!!. I am absolutely disgusted and fuming at how I was treated in this Chinese. I have tried most Chinese takeaways in Irvine and this is by the worst. I walked in and the boy behind the counter rolled his eyes then as I added more food he giggled to the little girl beside him. This service made me feel shamed to order lots of food even though I was having people over. My guests said the food was disappointing only good thing was the prawn crackers the curry was vile and fried rice salt and chilli chips far to soggy and salty I will never be back this place is a dump and there food is revolting to not come STAY AWAY”

“ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! Would've put 0 stars if it let you. Was on my way home after a hard day at work and decided to pop into my local chinese (i'm new to the area I wish some had warned me away). I came into the shop and was treated very rudely and abruptly by the young man behind the counter. I ordered a chicken curry and was expecting some CHICKEN! Was served a tub of curry and onions. They could've at least cooked the chips couldn't chew them at all. The chicken nuggets were pink on the inside had to fling them away and cook dinner for my children. NEVER AGAIN! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!”

“One star is too generous. The staff seemed completely cut off from reality. No contact with the outside world, did they even know they were in Scotland? With zero grasp of English. The young man, Oscar, was particularly rude and equally incomprehensible. They have a bizarre 'no dogs allowed' policy, which is just baffling. To top it all off, the food arrived with an actual dead maggot on it. Avoid this place like the plague! (also rumours they didn’t pass their monthly hygiene check!)”

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers split sharply, and the chicken curry is the item they discuss most, though they disagree on it. One praises the chicken curry with fried rice as "so good," while others call the curry sauce watery, lumpy, or "like gravy," and one describes a tub of curry and onions with barely any chicken. Salt and chilli chips draw repeated complaints for arriving soggy and salty rather than battered. Two reviewers also fault a chicken Maryland as a single piece of chicken with chips, and the sweet brown gravy is called disgusting. Order accuracy comes up several times, including a wrong delivery where the replacement arrived without the fresh chips requested, with the caller told the kitchen staff could not read the menu. Some describe rude treatment at the counter, and one reviewer reports a dead maggot on their food. Delivery gets mixed reports, from quick and hot to over an hour. Two diners call it the best Chinese in Irvine, and one adds that the food arrived hot, while another says pink chicken nuggets had to be thrown away and dinner cooked at home.
