About Depot Eatery

Customer Review Summary
Pizza draws the most consistent praise here, with the stone-baked pies and cheesy garlic pizza singled out repeatedly, close behind the pulled pork loaded fries, chicken and BBQ pulled pork tacos, and the Sunday lunch beef described as melt in your mouth. Several also mention the ribs and the roast beef and chicken burger favorably, along with a well-regarded wine and beer selection. Service is described as friendly and attentive by most, though it is not uniform: one breakfast visitor found eggs hard and toast lukewarm after a sarcastic remark at the door, another group felt rushed to clear plates mid-meal, and a diner waiting on a quiet day described a twenty-minute wait for the bill with what they called dry, smileless service. One reviewer reports ordering a half chicken special that arrived poorly prepared and says staff were overheard laughing about the complaint in the kitchen. Most visits close on a warmer note, with reviewers recalling attentive servers, a child watching pizza being made, and repeated intentions to return.

“Nice food, staff were friendly. I was really looking forward to the tacos but once we were sat down, they said the tacos were not on because it was Sunday. Would be available on the night time. Ended up with a sunday dinner..was ok but just not what I wanted.”

“Went here for dinner a few weeks ago, and our experience was exceptional. The food was packed with flavour and very reasonably priced. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, giving us plenty of time to enjoy our meal and conversation. There was also a great selection of alcoholic drinks available at the bar. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this place. One final tip: if you’re torn between the BBQ chicken loaded fries and the pulled pork loaded fries like we were, the pulled pork just has the edge!”

“I recently stayed at Twitchen holiday park, and on our last evening we fancied a treat. We saw this restaurant who were on a main roundabout near most destinations for a Woolacombe holiday. When we arrived I saw great parking for all with a lovely outdoor seating area and dog friendly. We were greeted with a great server who told us from the get go they were very short staffed so food may take a while. When we were seated in their beautiful indoor area we had drinks within 10 mins, and placed our order for food at the same time. The menu was great and hard to chose from, so anyone looking for good pub grub on any nearby sites this is the place to go. Even tho they were short staffed it was to me a 5 star service. There are many drinks to chose from if you like beer tick, if you like lager tick, soft drinks tick. I could go on. The food came out and none of my party could complain. The pizza's were cooked infront of us and my goodness was so yummy. Me and my family ordered from the starter and main menu, the prawns and squid starters were lovely, then 2 pizza's which was delicious. My advice on this review is if you live or are having a holiday near Woolacombe, give this place a try. All welcome.”

“Went for breakfast and was very disappointed. Firstly, we were greeted by a man at the entrance who made a sarcastic remark about us waiting for the restaurant to open... We were there for breakfast and arrived at 0825. The restaurant opened at 0830. The breakfast was luke warm and my eggs were hard and my husband's 'quick start' breakfast was also not what we expected. To be fair to our server, I was asked a couple of times if my breakfast was ok but I did not say anything as I honestly did not feel 100% comfortable after the interaction at the door. I just wanted to be done and out. I really wanted to like this place as I liked the decor and the American touches, but the breakfast is very lacking and the experience was just not good on that day.”

“Everything was just perfect. There are places which set the benchmark for certain foods, this is one of those places. The burgers are sublime and the Pulled Pork Nachos are the best we have tasted. The prices are very reasonable too.”
