Customer Review Summary
Regulars return for the lunch menu, which reviewers call good value, with one recommending the pulled pork sandwich and the option to add a side and soft drink. Staff are called friendly and meals arrive quickly. Complaints centre on the food: a thin smash burger, stringy ribs, and pricey mac and cheese bites. One booked couple was seated on a low sofa with a caved-in chair.

“We were quite disappointed sadly. Booked a table a week in advance, then to be seated in the room to the left of the entrance with the TV blaring, felt like more of a strange snug area? On a low sofa with dirty cushions, so low neither me nor my partner could eat from. There were two chairs opposite, one of which the seat had caved in. We managed with one chair and a stool. Table. floor were dirty. Service was okay, friendly enough. Forgot our cutlery/sauces at first but we did get them. Food was nice, big portions. We were told it would be a little wait as they had a big table in, no problem. Was still quick service so all ok. Ventured to the bathroom and realised there was huge restaurant area with multiple tables empty! And then another space upstairs with tables. Felt a little annoyed as we had booked in advance and only two of us so doesn’t seem like much to ask for a decent table and chairs. Would have been happy to be moved to a free table after starters and we may have stayed longer. We just left disappointed and wouldn’t return sadly.”

“Excellent food and excellent value! Highly recommend.”

“Great service, unfortunately the food was a let down. Over powering flavours, really not great cuts of meat, unfortunately the ribs were incredibly stringy. The tables weren’t very clean, however cannot fault the staff, beautiful set up, meals came out quick.”

“Would give a 3.5 if possible. We visited during a trip to the area. If I'm honest I probably wouldnt bother again ... the food was just okay, nothing groundbreaking, and I feel there are better places! I did feel reassured they would take my dietary requirements seriously as a coeliac. I thought the vibe inside the restaurant was a bit odd / flat. The table and cutlery weren't massively clean. My burger was a smash style patty which I have had elsewhere, many times. It was SO thin, you couldn't really taste or enjoy the meat as it was just exceptionally thin and crispy,so there wasn't much burger as such. My husband had a chicken burger which he did enjoy, but we both agreed there were too many fries. I think the biggest shocker was £9 for FIVE... yes FIVE.... Mac and cheese BITES. All in all, we felt the burgers and mac and cheese bits were priced too highly for what was delivered, so wouldnt return.”

“Great atmosphere and friendly staff, me and my friends usually pop in for the £8.40 lunch menu and leave very very stuffed. I recommend the pulled pork sandwich on the lunch menu. Can upgrade your fries for more or even add an extra side and a soft drink for £5. Love it here and will continue returning”
