  “​We decided to meet some friends here after seeing "Coffee" advertised on their outside sign. Between the four of us, we ordered a brunch meal and two rounds of drinks. Just as we were about to order another round, we were abruptly informed that our table was reserved and given only 10 minutes to vacate—even though several other tables were visibly empty. The service felt chilly from the moment we arrived, and we were left feeling completely unwelcome. If they prefer to prioritise full dining over drink service, they really need to make that policy clear upfront.”

  “We tried Block for lunch last Saturday while on a day out in Barnstaple, as the place that we were going to eat chose to abandon their usual menu and serve bottomless brunch instead. Well, what a spot of luck that was. There is a lovely relaxed atmosphere and we were served by a friendly young lady. The menu was new to us, most of which we were unsure what it was as we had not eaten this type of food before. We made our choice, flank steak for me and halloumi and aubergine salad for my wife, with 2 pots of tea. My wife enjoyed her salad, and my steak meal was very tasty, both dishes had flavours that we were not used to but they really made it an enjoyable lunch. I would have liked more of the tasty salad accompaniment to go with the medium rare steak and bravas. We both agreed that we would return when next in Barnstaple.”

  “Absolutely fantastic experience at BLOCK Barnstaple! The food, setting and customer service were all outstanding. 🔥 I had the chicken shawarma wrap and honestly, it was one of the tastiest wraps I’ve ever had — absolutely packed with flavour! 🤤 My wife had the burrito bowl and loved it too. Great food, great atmosphere and brilliant service. We’ll definitely be back! 👌🔥”

  “⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely outstanding from start to finish! 🔥 I visited BLOCK in Barnstaple today and honestly couldn’t fault it. The food, setting and customer service were all exceptional — everything was spot on. I had the chicken shawarma wrap and WOW… 🤤🔥 Easily one of the tastiest wraps I’ve had in a very long time. The chicken was packed with flavour, everything tasted incredibly fresh, and the combination of flavours was absolutely unreal. The atmosphere and setting are fantastic too, and the staff were friendly, welcoming and genuinely made the experience even better. Great food, great people, great atmosphere — what more could you ask for? I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended! 👌🔥”
