  “⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 100/5 STARS IF I COULD!!! ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! 😍🔥 If I could give Punjabi Grill in Ilford 100 stars, I genuinely would!!! This is hands down the BEST Punjabi/Indian restaurant I have EVER been to, and I honestly don’t think I could ever go to another Indian restaurant again after experiencing the food here! From the SECOND you walk through the doors, you’re welcomed with this beautiful, warm, authentic Punjabi atmosphere. The whole place has such a lovely vibe, the aesthetics are gorgeous, everything is so clean, and even the smell takes you straight back home! I genuinely feel like I’ve been transported to a little village in Punjab, India. It’s such a comforting, homely feeling that you just don’t get everywhere! ❤️ This is my SECOND visit, and believe me, there’s a reason I’ve come back so soon! I first visited last week and had the lamb bhuna, saag paneer, dhaba chicken, garlic butter naan and raita. OH MY GOODNESS!!! Every single dish was OUT OF THIS WORLD! The flavours, the spices, the freshness, the authenticity — everything was absolutely PERFECT. You can genuinely taste the love and effort that goes into the cooking. It was easily some of the best food I’ve ever eaten! I’ve come back again TODAY, and I’ve just had their samosa chaat. When I tell you this was HANDS DOWN THE BEST SAMOSA CHAAT I’VE EVER HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE, I am NOT exaggerating!!! 😭🔥 The explosion of flavours was UNREAL! So rich, so beautifully balanced, so incredibly flavourful. Every single bite was heavenly. I honestly cannot put into words how delicious it was! And can we PLEASE talk about the cocktails?! 😍 I’ve had their Godfather cocktail, AKA Jaat Daniels, on both visits now, and WOW!!! Absolutely delicious! It’s officially become my favourite. I loved it so much the first time that I HAD to order it again! The customer service deserves its own 100 stars too! The staff are so welcoming, friendly and attentive, and they genuinely make you feel comfortable and looked after. The whole experience, from the atmosphere to the food to the service, is just exceptional. I genuinely cannot find ONE SINGLE BAD THING to say about this restaurant. Not one! It’s rare to find somewhere that gets absolutely everything right, but Punjabi Grill has done exactly that. PLEASE, if you’re reading this review and you’re thinking about visiting, DO NOT HESITATE!!! GO!!! You will not regret it! If you’ve ever had doubts about trying this place, throw those doubts out of the window because you’re seriously missing out! Punjabi Grill, you have officially gained a loyal customer for life! ❤️ The food, the atmosphere, the authenticity, the hospitality — EVERYTHING is 10/10, actually 100/10!!!   “Honestly this was a great surprise find on a Thursday evening. My friends and I tried a few things and they were all delicious. Most surprising was the soya chaap, both in a sauce and from the grill with onions and peppers. It was like half way between tofu and seitan in texture - chewy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Both dishes were flavoured/marinated really well - the grilled dish also came with a great mint sauce and a great tangy chilli sauce to dip in. I was a bit suspicious that the soya chaap wouldn't be great as it's probably an uncommon choice from the menu but it was was one of the best vegan meals I've had from a restaurant in a long time. Only downside to this place is they were playing James Blunt. But cheesy music aside, the food was honestly delicious and worth a trip back to Ilford for!”
