  “We have visited a few times now from Wolverhampton when we are in the area and each time we have been very satisfied with our experience. Each time we haven't booked, just turned up and asked for a table and although it's always busy we have always managed to be provided a table. We have had a few different items from the menu but my favourite has to be the large roast dinner for 2 on a Sunday. Food is good quality and affordable! Our most recent visit was on a Saturday and we sat outside. The atmoshphere was great and again food was great. The toilets are always clean and tidy which is good.”

  “Called in without a booking. Was greeted by the lovely Heather. Sat in a lovely restaurant and given our choice of seats inside or outside. Lovely menu and food was 10/10. Special mention again to Heather who couldn’t have done enough for us. I specifically noticed her calming and helpful attitude which isn’t always the case in a busy restaurant. Well done and cannot wait to return!”

  “My family brought me for my birthday, and the service from Jordan was exceptional! He was talkative, but not too much, friendly, witty and funny. Just those extra touches to make a lovely outing perfect! The food was very nice, but unfortunately by the time it reached the table it was just warm, not hot.”

  “We went to an outside doggy event here the other week, I'd never been before and it was lovely. Well organised and a set up beautifully to cater for the dogs and owners. Accessible toilets nearby and a nice selection of hot/cold drinks, snacks and filled baps/croissants. My only complaint is that my friend's dog Baxter didn't win Waggiest Tail in the Fun Dog Show 🤣🤣🤣”

  “We booked a table for two at 18:15 on 19th April. The service was basic and not particularly attentive. The pub itself has a great atmosphere, with plenty of charm and character, but certain areas let it down — chipped paintwork and a very dirty carpet on the stairs leading to the toilets made it feel quite tired and in need of a deep clean. To start, we ordered the garlic flatbread with cheese. The £2 price difference between the plain and cheese version felt excessive, especially considering there was only a very light sprinkle of cheese. For the main, I ordered the Sunday roast duo of beef and pork. When it arrived, it looked like a generous portion. The beef was excellent — thickly sliced, perfectly pink, and full of flavour. Unfortunately, the pork was the complete opposite: dry and not enjoyable. The vegetables were particularly disappointing. The mash was cold, dry, and lacked flavour. The roast potatoes were under-seasoned, the carrot and swede mash was overly wet, the broccoli was mushy, and even the carrots seemed dry. Overall, the quality felt quite poor — something you’d expect from a budget carvery rather than a higher-priced meal. I understand this is a busy venue and that serving large numbers of people can be challenging. However, it would be better to focus on quality over quantity rather than overfilling the plate with low-standard food at premium prices.”

  “We hired the Bamford Suite for a baby shower and had the most brilliant time. From initial communication with Alice and Lottie through to on the day service with Eva, we were taken care of throughout, the food was amazing and nothing was too much trouble for the team. Combined with having a nut free kitchen, I would highly recommend!”

  “We recently had our wedding at the Bluebell Suite at the Joshua Bradley and words cannot even explain how amazing the day was. Alice was on hand to help us organise things through multiple meetings and endless emails from myself, even having to tweak things last minute, but nothing was too big of an ask. The bridal suite was absolutely gorgeous and a perfect space to get ready for the wedding, the ceremony room was exactly what I wanted and the reception room was amazing. It’s the perfect combination of intimate yet spacious. The food was incredible, so many of our guests were so impressed with the quality and quantity of food supplied for the wedding breakfast, and we even had leftovers to enjoy the next day! If anyone is looking for a gorgeous and affordable venue look no further, I just wish we could relive the day again. Thank you to Alice, Lottie and all of the staff here for giving us the perfect wedding! Jon & Sarah”

  “Absolutely amazing! Haven’t been here for a while but it was nice to be back!! Had an evening meal with my sister! Was a few minutes late for the booking I made but rang up and the lady was so lovely and changed it for me! As soon as we walked it we were welcomed with a warm atmosphere and lovely staff! We were taken to our table and it was lovely! Not long after a lovely lady Rose or something like that came to take our drink order! She was an amazing waitress! She was like a friend we hadn’t seen in a long time! Starter, main, dessert and drinks were fab!! The waiting time to receive each dish was about 5-10 minutes which again amazing!!”
