  “I am extremely disappointed. I traveled all the way from Goole to Hull today just to eat ramen at this place. I had been checking their opening hours and reviews for a whole week. According to their website and Google, they were supposed to be open until 10 PM. However, after a long journey by train and buses, I arrived only to find a small note on the door saying they are closed for a few days. It is very unprofessional not to update this information online. I wasted a lot of time and money for nothing.”

  “BEST SUSHI OF MY LIFE!!!! I was studying abroad and needed a quick bite after classes. I’m American, for context, so we have plenty of Japanese/Japanese-American restaurants back home. I have it at least once a week. THIS BLOWS ALL OF THEM OUT OF THE WATER!!!!! Tranquil atmosphere, kind staff that doesn’t invade your space or make you feel rushed, DELICIOUS AND FLAVORFUL FOOD - the whole package. Ordering was easy too! Just write it down on a piece of paper and hand it to them! Easy peasy!!! The multiple platter deals have awesome value for your money - coming from a college kid!! I am going to miss this place once I’m done studying. I would come back to the UK just to eat this again.”

  “This is the worst customer service I have ever received. Don’t not come to this restaurant! The lady at the counter is rude. I ordered special noodles and sea food noodles. However there was no prawns, I called the restaurant to ask where the prawns were in the dish, they said the dish only has 1 PRAWN. The salt and pepper wings were extremely salty. I also ordered chill oil, and was basically given an empty container. When I asked if they could feel the container a bit more the lady said that’s all you get or you can have a refund. I live in London and this is my first time up north. This was so disappointing”

  “Truly an amazing and authentic experience. Walking past the place I decided to indulge in some Japanese cuisine and I can confidently say that Sashimi met and exceeded my expectations. A small little seating area with lovely Japanese decorations gave the venue a homely feeling, and the food was fantastic. Hot, fresh and appetising is exactly how I would describe the food, it left a great feeling in the gut after eating as if you’ve just eaten homemade food. The prices are reasonable as the portion sizes are great, especially the Chicken Katsu Curry and the Salmon Nigiri. Will definitely be visiting again.”

  “First time ordering from here, spent £52, looked like it has really good reviews so thought we’d give it a try. Really disappointed, not only not authentic but ordered a pork katsu which was very dry and thin, tasted old.Even my cat turned his nose up to it. The veg gyoza turned out to be chicken, I rang them up to tell them they had sent the wrong order only to have the woman on the end of the phone arguing with me and wouldn’t acknowledge they had sent the wrong ones. The container lid had chick written on it, crossed out and wrote veg, my daughter took a bite who is vegetarian and told me there was meat in it. Appalling customer service. Vegetable tempura maki was bland and soggy. Prawn and leek gyoza had one small piece of chopped prawn in each one and the majority of it was leek. Not worth the money at all. Unfortunately the majority of all of this will be going to the dogs. You can buy better frozen ones from the supermarket. Would definitely say, save your money !”

  “We love this place so much! We've been here a few times and just ordered inside and took our food home (we like watching stuff). The two friendly people are always nice. Food is always incredible, worth it all the time. :) I've most definitely been here more than 4 times and was never disappointed!”

  “Good quality Japanese food & price is not too bad at all. Big & spacious inside. Staff are friendly. Highly recommended are Japanese Ramen in Miso soup (Special), salmon sashimi that just melts in your mouth like chocolate! Free parking on the road side after 6pm!”
