Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often point to the setting beside the marina, with views over the yachts that one says make it feel like a holiday. The food comes next, with the bacon cheese burger and its fries mentioned more than once, alongside a ploughman's, avocado and halloumi, and salmon and eggs at breakfast. One reviewer is already planning a return for the BBQ breakfast. Close behind are the staff, described as friendly and accommodating, and a couple of reviewers praise the homemade cakes and good coffee. The main caveat is how busy it gets. Several suggest booking a table. One found it crowded and a bit outdated on a Sunday lunchtime, another notes that orders are placed at the counter, and one says the alcoholic drinks only stretch so far. Even when full, reviewers report food arriving quickly, and one visiting on a very hot day still called the service impeccable.

“What a wonderful place! My partner and I went (booking is highly recommended as it gets busy!) and we had a lovely experience. The food was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. We had the ploughman’s and cheese and bacon burger. Although it was busy there was no wait on food. The staff were all really friendly and very helpful. We can’t wait to come back to try the BBQ breakfast! Thank you to the salt shack team.”
