“I came into Caffè Nero right before closing on Tuesday with a big order — eight hot drinks for a staff meeting, with different milks etc, and I felt awful about the timing! I know how it is when you have had a long day and someone comes in right at the last moment. But the two lovely young ladies working couldn’t have been kinder. They smiled, split the tasks between them, and even said they were happy for a little rush! I apologised profusely, but they reassured me that it was absolutely no trouble and they had plenty of time. They were genuinely happy to complete my order. Then, the next morning, as I was walking past on my way to manage my own shop in Chichester, I saw one of the same girls outside in the pouring rain, absolutely drenched, laughing away as she tried to put the barriers back up after they’d blown over! As a fellow retail manager, I know how much difference a positive attitude makes, and these two really stood out to me. Their kindness, teamwork, and genuinely lovely energy were such a pleasure to see. They are an absolute credit to Caffè Nero and deserve a massive shout-out! I really hope their management sees this because they should be incredibly proud of the team they’ve got. ☺️”

“Arrived approx 45 minutes before closing, only to be told the food (cakes and pastries) were not available as they were all frozen!!! Young woman behind counter couldn't say which items were frozen and why. She seemed bored and was completely unhelpful. These food items were in the normal counter (not cold) and under cake domes, seems an unhygienic way to store food for the next day. Looking around the cafe had dirty tables, full used cups, plates etc all over the place, made a swift exit.”

“Great police for a coffee and either a sandwich or cake visit regularly dogs are allowed”

“We love coming to this cafe when we’re in Chichester. The staff are super friendly and the coffee is always really good. I would give 5 stars if the toilets had been cleaner, also there were lots of flies where we were seated at the rear of the cafe, next to the toilets. This definitely needs looking into as it spoils such a lovely cafe.”

“Very busy, including with a significant number of fruit flies hanging around the place. Eventually we had to take a table right next to the tills/wash up area which resulted in being hit by spray from the taps/cleaning machine a number of times and a tray waiting to be washed up being knocked over - the manager blaming a trainee for the cafe's unsafe practices. Otherwise standard decent Cafe Nero fare and reasonable service despite being very busy when we arrived.”
