  “What an absolutely stunning place to eat. My husband and I had a 2 course for £15.95 each. Starter and a main. The staff were lovely and welcoming. The food was out of this world. The atmosphere was lovely as well.”

  “Really good, food is for giants but I love leftovers so it's chill. Food is proper traditional Italian and very yummers. I'm sure all 5 doctors would recommend though I'm not a doctor. (I'm a little drunk off their alcohol, thxs for the shot. It tasted like nail polish remover but idk alcohol so I drank it anyway)”

  “We have visited Harrogate four times, every time we eat here. The food is freshly made and cooked to order. The service is friendly never overbearing and very attentive. The special offers a starter and main pasta dish or starter and special pasta dish are such great value too. As we are here a day longer this visit we may eat here again before we return to London.”

  “Pretty diabolical delivery order. At £17.95 for the chicken Parmesan alone, the fact it was delivered cold, sweating in a polystyrene box was the icing on the cake for a thin, tough piece of chicken. Truly disgusting compared to the one I’ve had from here before. The onion rings came in at £1 per ring. Wet, soggy and freezing cold. Overall, I’d imagine the chef thought ‘that’ll do’ and served me yesterday’s food. Honestly. Do yourself a favour and don’t bother ordering for delivery. There’s too many better options in Harrogate for this to be acceptable. The photo makes this look edible. It wasn’t. The only reason it’s not 1 star is because I ate from here once before, and it was good. So you get a star for being good once.”

  “Excellent!! This is my absolute favourite Italian restaurant in Harrogate.... The atmosphere to the table side service to the incredible taste of the dining we experienced.. My goodness, what a pleasure to have dined in this restaurant.. I had to express my gratitude to the chef himself at our table.. SUPERB full stop !!”

  “Visited today, a party of 3 The staff were super friendly amd helpful when we arrived and the whole time we were there The bruschetta was fantastic, as was the pasta dishes. I had the Diavola pizza which was amazing, and I will definitely go back here The interior was really nice, and it was very clean and tidy The price for the 3 of us with drinks, mains and starters was just under £60 I will definitely recommend Portofino”

  “Only thing that I down marked it for was the amount of bar flys and blue bottles in the restaurant. Beautiful food and service and atmosphere was slightly rushed. Was nice meal. Wouldn’t go back tho.”

  “The atmosphere was very relaxing, and the service was excellent. The pizza was large and generously topped. The carbonara was a bit dry, but the nachos were spicy and full of flavor. The prices were very reasonable!”

  “The food was fantastic, really tasty and it came quickly so was lovely and hot too. We felt the staff were too over attentive, we had only just say down and they asked us for our drink order and we were asked two times if the food was ok, but maybe that is better than having slow service and not being attentive at all. We did enjoy the experience and the food was plentiful and tasty.”

  “After a Sunday lunch here we left with mixed emotions but can only feel it struggled with its own success. The interior was really nice and had quite a communal feel, with tables being fairly close together but good options for larger groups as well as couples. The menu, for both food and drinks, is huge, across everything from pizza and pasta to meat dishes, fish, jacket potatoes, sandwiches and salads - there really should be something to suit anyone here! What was nice was that the different options in each section almost all had the same price, for example whether you ordered the margarita pizza or a fully loaded option. The main disappointment with this restaurant was how busy it was compared to the staff. I don’t know if they were understaffed on our visit, but everyone was run off their feet and as a result the service suffered. It took quite a while for the food order to be taken, an age for drinks to eventually come, an hour from arriving to two pizzas being served, and getting the bill was almost impossible having to be chased twice. This was such a shame since everything else was close to perfect. Both the starters and the mains were huge in size and although somewhat basic in presentation were very tasty and well cooked. The atmosphere inside was lovely, there’s good decor and everywhere seemed clean. I would recommend, and will probably return myself, but at a less peak time when hopefully the service can be up to the level of everything else.”
