Customer Review Summary
Food draws the most praise at this village pub, with reviewers singling out the steak pie, fish and chips and pizzas, and describing the cooking as flavourful and excellent. Close behind is the staff, called friendly, welcoming and helpful, with one waitress praised for her sense of humour. Regulars say the pub has come on since new owners took over, citing a spruce up inside, a weekday market menu, and weekend singers, quiz nights, live music and darts on the wide-screen. Criticism is limited but specific. One diner found the Sunday roast unavailable, thought the replacement dishes were not worth the money, and described wobbly chairs. Another reviewer noted sticky toilet doors and no disabled parking space, which made getting a friend in a wheelchair in and out of the building very hard. Two reviewers held wedding meals or receptions here, and one describes the owner agreeing to let them decorate the hall the day before, with a DJ and cheap drinks on the night.

“Couldn't be more glad to have stopped in here. Martin and the rest of the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming from the moment I walked in the door. Absolutely great place to have a drink and the food is beyond excellent. Darts on the wide-screen and good local atmosphere, plenty of people to talk to. Could not recommend it enough.”

“Nice venue although ladies loo doors were sticky and no paper hand towels. No disabled car parking space and my friend was in a wheelchair. Very hard to get her in and out of the building. Otherwise staff were lovely and helpful.”
