“Ordered, asked for small chips and medium fish due to travelling. I went to pay, no one present and no prompt to pay , staff not looking at customers to take payment, I stood waiting to pay and there was no one there taking payment, so I came to the conclusion you must pay when your food is ready. 30 mins later and multiple people coming in after me getting food and going. I am then asked, have I paid? Which I found bizzare as I had been stood there like a statue. I was hardly waiting for the bus. It came across rude and unfriendly. Maybe it’s because I wasn’t local. If I had paid when I was eventually asked it would have meant a further wait as my order hadn’t been started, as other people who came in after me would have been waiting after me for their food. So it was a case of being forgotten, an apology would have been nice but not received. The person taking the orders shouldn’t be the one cooking the fish etc, the person taking the orders should also be taking payment straight away if that’s your chosen method. If you are doing it as you are you are leaving yourself wide open for situations like this, as you simply can’t take orders, cook and take payment.”
