  “At 20:30 on 14th May 2026, I ordered 1 large fish, large chips, a large battered sausage, and a fish cake — that was all they had left. I asked if the food was fresh and was told yes. When I got home, the food was only lukewarm. The chips were hard and scabby, and the fish and sausage were dried out. Very disappointed and a complete waste of £15. This chippy used to be good, but unfortunately I won’t be returning.”

  “Absolute quality fish and chips!, one of the locals recommend i try it out, so glad i did, service was top notch aswel considering its very busy here, staff were very efficient and polite. Would highly recommend anyone in the area or even passing by Grimsby to stop by and grab some food here👍🏽”

  “Me & a work colleague buy our lunch from here every week, but not any more. The reason being on Friday it was busy, we were queuing, so was a homeless man who was down on his luck, he asked if he could buy a £1's worth of chips, the female on the counter asked if this would be possible with the owner who just instantly said no! He could of just given him half the normal amount but his greed & lack of compassion kicked in. The homeless man politely thanked the assistant and left. So you've now lost around £20 per week takings from us + word of mouth, we'll never return. We did try to catch up with the man down on his luck to do the right thing but he'd gone from the area. Greedy owner who deserves zero support from the community.”

  “Quick service considering how busy it was; well staffed and well organised. Excellent value and huge portion. Fish was great, batter was good but not my favourite. However, excellent overall.”

  “I didn't buy any food. I am a taxi driver and couldn't believe that people were prepared to travel so far and pay £15 for the journey to buy their fish n chips from this chippy! The queue was ridiculous. I think that tells you all you need to know about the quality and popularity of this chippy.......I'm gonna give em a try, too. I'll let you know when I do how the food is.”

  “By far the best chippy in the land. Grimsby really is the business when it comes to Fish and Chips!! Try the homemade fish cakes. You won’t regret it! Excellent service with a smile. Reasonable prices too. Perfect. Thanks guys!”

  “Absolutely brilliant fish from here. Big portions and some of the best tasting fish in town. Chips are very nice and not too greasy. The sausages are brilliant and proper Lincolnshire sausages. My only complaint is the jumbo sausages are different and not as nice as the small ones (but that is the same in most chippys). Love the fact they sell chilli sauce as well and that was nice.”
