Customer Review Summary
Diners most often return to the food at this Turkish restaurant, with several saying it matched or beat what they ate in Turkey. One reviewer describes a meal for four built around the mixed cold meze and four hot dishes, with as much bread as wanted, and another found the sharer generous enough to split between three. Vegetarian dishes get particular praise, and a Bulgarian Turkish couple call the food fresh and the welcome warm. Service splits opinion. Some single out two waitresses who stayed kind and efficient in a full room, while others describe a staff that seemed bothered. One reviewer got starters before drinks, and another had to go and find someone to pay. A diner who asked about gluten was told the kitchen does not do gluten free and was unsure it could be trusted. Prices draw mixed comments, with one reviewer finding it dearer than similar places and another calling it reasonable. A white wine that was not cold enough on a hot day, a long wait, and a noisy room by 7pm also come up. One reviewer asked for a loud fan to be turned down, and staff adjusted it.

“Pricier than others Mediterranean restaurants I've been to. Food was good but not better than the less pricier ones I've visited. The glass of white wine I ordered wasn't cold enough. In this over 30°c weather, I was looking forward to a cold glass of wine with my food. I didn't get it. Beyoglu 25 didn't give it to me. I can get a colder glass of wine at Wetherspoon for nearly half the price! The young part-time girl Scarlett tried her best when I complained, that why it's 3 stars instead of 2. Oh, the waiting time was quite long.”

“Arrived with no booking and got a table no bother. A humongous fan was blowing all over so we asked if it could be turned down or moved slightly and they did adjust that. Food was very tasty. But staff didn’t seem bothered and when I asked about an allergy (as it states at the bottom of a menu) we got a waitress that said “don’t do gluten free but I’ll check” She did check and I could have the grilled food (which was delicious) but I’m luckily intolerant and not celiac. Otherwise I wouldn’t have trusted it. Can’t subsidise anything. What is on the menu is what you’ll get. The food is very good but the staff treat it like it’s fast food, to the point we got our starters before our drinks (and we ordered at the same time). Someone came and put it on the table without announcing the dishes. It’s a shame because the food is great but service was far from average. Not a nice atmosphere for a meal unfortunately and such a shame because the food was fantastic.”

“What a wonderful meal for four we had this evening. Excellent vegetarian food served attractively, which we all enjoyed and we were impressed so we will go again. We had the mixed cold meze and four hot dishes. You get as much bread to go with it as you want. The one meat eater enjoyed his meal too. They had groups arrive for meals, so lost one service star as we had to go and find someone to pay for our meal. It got quite noisy by 7pm so one star off the atmosphere score for that.”
