Customer Review Summary
Diners most often return to the fish, described repeatedly as perfectly cooked, fresh and beautifully presented, with the food and presentation praised across the reviews. Close behind is the friendly, attentive service, and a few single out the bar team for a Whiskey Sour made New York style. Others name the Moroccan lamb with cous cous, ice cream with strawberry sauce, fish and chips, and a breakfast and a sandwich and soup lunch. The river and sea views and clean bathrooms come up as well. The caveats are specific. One reviewer says a discretionary service charge of just over £5 appeared on the receipt without notice, that the manager first said the wrong table had been billed, and that it was refunded only after they raised it. The same reviewer says a request for no singing with a birthday dessert was not honoured. Another found the prices steep for the casual setting and the room loud and busy, though staff fixed a problem with a starter kindly. One diner on a Tuesday night found it a little quiet.

“A stunning location overlooking the river, and tastefully decorated inside. We had a breakfast and coffee, which were both delicious and well presented. Very friendly service and we were not rushed. The bathroom facilities are lovely, and spotlessly clean. Thank you! Edited to add the sandwich and soup lunch did not disappoint either. Extremely tasty.”

“All. exceptional. Atmosphere was a little quiet but then it was a Tuesday night. Food superb especially the special Moroccan Lamb with cous cous. Excellent ice creams with strawberry sauce! Friendly and attentive service. Thanks very much. Superb architecture to the terminal by the way with great facilities for disabled people, even a lift.”

“Absolutely outstanding from start to finish. Scott’s delivered one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. The quality of the food was exceptional, and the fish was quite simply the best we’ve ever tasted—perfectly cooked, beautifully presented, and incredibly fresh. What really elevated the experience was the service. A special mention has to go to Matthew, who looked after us so well. He was warm, knowledgeable, attentive without ever being intrusive, and made us feel genuinely welcome throughout our meal. His recommendations were spot on and really added to an already fantastic evening. It’s clear that everyone at Scott’s takes great pride in what they do. Exceptional food, first-class service, and a wonderful atmosphere. We left already looking forward to our next visit and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Scott’s to anyone looking for a truly special meal.”

“From the moment we arrived at Scott’s, the experience was exceptional. The service was warm, attentive and genuinely welcoming, with the team striking the perfect balance between being professional and friendly. Matthew was brilliant and provided great service! The food was simply outstanding. The fish was, without question, the best we’ve ever had perfectly cooked, incredibly fresh and bursting with flavour. Every element of the meal was beautifully presented and clearly prepared with great care and attention to detail. It’s rare to find a restaurant that delivers both outstanding food and first-class service so consistently, but Scott’s exceeded every expectation. A memorable dining experience from start to finish, and somewhere we’ll be recommending to everyone. We can’t wait to return!”

“Amazing restaurant. Had a few issues with the ordered starter, however the staff were kind and helpful to resolve the issue. It was really busy yesterday night therefore I do not blame the staff. The food was amazing, both in presentation and taste. The atmosphere was loud, yes, but I could still talk to my mum and hear her. The table and surrounding area was very clean, and our waitress so kind. Overall, I would recommend on a less busier day however, compliments from us. One thing I would add, while the food was amazing but the price is a bit steep, especially with the casual atmosphere. The prices reflected more of the quality of food rather than the atmosphere of the restaurant.”
