“We visiting this venue for lunch. Booked a table for 4 When we arrived the place was empty... This was 1pm Waitress too our order When it arrived the order was incorrect. Wrong meal x2 We didn't have the time to change the meals over. Beer was warm. Overall we want be returning. The pub is so beautiful inside Such a shame the service was very poor. The place was empty so there no excuse to get the order wrong . So sorry to leave this review, But this needs to improve for other visitors.”

“Very friendly, rural pub in the Wirral. Lovely meal, I had an 8oz burger with chunky chips, washed down with a pint of Timothy Taylor’s Best Golden, which was also great. My wife’s smoky bean chilli was also very tasty, not too smoky and quite mild on the chilli, so not for the afterburner seekers.”

“Possibly one of the worst roast dinners we've ever had? Very disappointing. Food was piled onto plate and and probably 'dinged' as arrived very quickly and was tongue burningly hot. Both Yorkshire pud and meat very tough. We would much prefer to pay more and be served decent food”
