Customer Review Summary
Reviewers are split, and the most repeated complaint is a drop in quality among long-time customers, with chicken balls named most often: one says they were as hard as a rock, another that they tasted fried in old oil across three orders. Several regulars of a year to decades say the food has declined, citing an overcooked pancake roll, prawns with the digestive tract still intact, and food that tasted raw and dry. One long-standing customer says a complaint about undercooked food was ignored. A diner describes a wait over an hour and a half, a rude receptionist, missing dishes and little sauce on the rest, and one reviewer reports rotten food on the kitchen floor. On the positive side, reviewers praise the Singapore fried rice, a large menu with tasty, not greasy, good sized portions, and one regular still travels in from Dartford to collect an order. One reviewer found the beef in black bean sauce too sweet, and another noticed a funny taste in the egg fried rice. One reviewer notes card payments were not accepted and that a cash machine sits next door.

“Been coming here for decades, food has gone really down in quality and the prices have just kept increasing despite this. Waiting times are long and the dishes have changed ingredients, lack of good food prep for things like prawns which had thick lines of the digestive track still intact. Really off putting and food tasted a bit raw and dry”

“Have been my go to Chinese for about a year now and for the last couple of times I have ordered from them the chicken balls were as hard as a rock and also my pancake roll was over cooked the last two time I have ordered the food standard has dropped massively and will not order from this restaurant again the first time I gave the benefit of the doubt but they have continued to make terrible food .”

“Great place and my go to chinese. The only thing I have found myself not liking is their beef in black bean sauce receipe. It doesn't taste like any beef in black bean sauce I am personally used to and doesn't seem to have any spice kick, was very sweet/sugary. Other than that (and that's personal preference) 10/10 would recommend!”

“Awful experience, awful service, and even worse food. We waited over an hour and a half for the food to be met by a rude receptionist. When we got home, there were dishes missing, and the dishes that were there had next to no sauce on them and were clearly thrown in. Would not reccomend.”
