“Comfortable and relaxing pub for a Sunday lunch. There were lots of ciders to choose from, and the staff were great at helping. The vegan roast unfortunately was using vegan burger patty, which became quite soggy with the gravy - great to have the vegan alternative, but it may be better to have something like nutroasts.”

“Just fancied a drink and some pub grub on a Saturday evening. We popped in and had a couple of lovely cold drinks, and some good hot food sitting in the outside area. The staff were welcoming, friendly and very helpful. Lovely comfy pub.”

“I don't normally do this but just had to. This pub has a wonderful feeling about it and any pub that offers 5 vege/vegan choices on their Burger Night, absolutely knows what they are doing. Best hallouimi burger I've ever had, fresh salad and slaw, chunky chips to sneak away in your handbags! The nicest of evening, reasonable price and a lovely view out back at the church steeple. Thank you Emma and Andy, you are doing a good job there x”

“Old fashioned pub full of beer mats and ales - they festoon the ceiling on horizontal poles - and other paraphamalia. Wooden floor and wooden tables run the length of tge bar and beyond. Barstaff friendly and knowledgable and keen to serve. I met someone for the first time and had a pint of Tribute which i very much enjoyed. By the time my friend had left there was no food service. However i would like to mention in despatches: senior barman Jason (easy to talk to), junior barman Miles (handsome with curly hair) and the slightly world weary Owner / Patronne Emma. Runs a good ship. Will come aboard again”
