Customer Review Summary
Steak is the draw, with reviewers singling out the Galician beef, from the porterhouse to the tomahawk, prime rib and fillet, as tender and full of flavour. Sherry glazed short rib, the octopus starter and iberico pork also earn praise, and sticky toffee pudding and burnt basque cheesecake feature among the desserts. Staff are described as friendly, knowledgeable and helpful with menu advice, even on busy Friday and Saturday nights, and a few mention the noise at peak times. The caveat is price. Several call it expensive, and two point out the 12.5% service charge added to the bill. One diner who celebrated a birthday found the porterhouse tough and fatty, the scallops small, the octopus rubbery and the garlic butter a pot of oil, while still rating the staff and atmosphere. Another reviewer suggests booking on a Friday night, and one lunch guest found a birthday card waiting at the table.

“We visited, four of us, on a busy Saturday night with a reservation at 7:15, probably peak time on the busiest day of the week. Nonetheless, service was excellent; all staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The food was first class, 2 of us had fish and 2 beef; all of us were delighted with our choice. Only 4 stars for atmosphere as it was a bit noisy, but we were there at the busiest time of the week.”

“I was here on Friday night with 2 of my business colleagues. The atmosphere, food, drinks were great. Staff were very kind and friendly, excellent value for money and would definitely recommend the fillet steak.”

“We had a great experience for my lunch birthday, been welcomed by the manager and walked to the table where I found a cute birthday card, he also explained the menu, answering all the questions we had, after we’ve been served by a new waiter, I guess he was being trained. The starters were delicious, followed by the Galician prime rib, probably one of the best beef we had, the Rioja Crianza paired perfectly. At the end we had the sticky toffee pudim which was divine. Super recommend, thank you!”

“Nice place, good food great desert. What more can you ask for. Beef lovers you need to make your way down here. Service staff are very attentive and provide great attention. Special shout out to their iberico pork. Impeccable.”

“Had an amazing dinner on a Friday night. It was very busy so I’d make a booking. The octopus starter really stood out and the steak was cooked to perfection. It is on the expensive side. I’d definitely go back”
