  “Faultless, again. This is the place to go for amazing steak, great service and the ‘just right’ vibe for all occasions. For my pocket, it’s a special occasion eatery, and that’s good. Take your friends, loved ones and everyone in between - The Butchershop is somewhere worth experiencing at least once in a lifetime. I was advised (correctly) about the best way to have my particular cut (thank you) and the starters and sides were perfect. 👌 Don’t bother considering any other steak place, seriously. Note: There’s a wee ‘known issue’ with booking online - user has to enter card number, book table time, date etc, and confirm, the user is then taken to another page to confirm again so it’s easy to think you’ve booked after confirming once (via banking app etc). so just be sure to check for email confirmation to avoid disappointment. From a UX perspective, it’s an opportunity for improvement (small change though) 👍 Thanks for making a great night a great night. 10/10”

  “I was working nearby all week and at the last minute decided to chance my arm and see if they could squeeze me in. They were beyond nice, getting me a table right away. The steak was cooked to perfection and the garlic green beans are amazing. Always great food and the staff are lovely.”

  “Food is fabulous! We both opted for the grass-fed, locally sourced fillet which was cooked to perfection. Starters and sides will meet your needs and tastes. Wines are good quality and reasonably priced. Thank you for the excellent welcome, hosting and service delivered by Andrew, house front, and Terry, serving our table, in an atmosphere that is relaxed and welcoming. Recommended!”

  “Fantastic steakhouse, if you’re looking for a steak then look no further! Philly cheese steak spring rolls were fantastic and would come back for them alone. Chateaubriand cooked perfectly and overall we were both very happy and will be back.”

  “Great food and atmosphere in a walkable part of Glasgow near the university. I would recommend a reservation, but our party was fit into the bar area, which was lovely. The photo was from our table. The food was delicious, as was the wine. I would highly recommend the onion rings shown here. The service was friendly and interested in our voyage. Terrific spot! Price perspective: 2 sirloin steaks served with a potato, an order of onion rings, 500 ml wine, 2 beers, coffee, and crème brûlée. They added the service charge; the total was 155 lbs, which is $203 USD.”

  “We had a lovely, warm welcome to the restaurant by Andrew. It was our first time here, and we will certainly be back! The scotch egg, fillet steak and lemon and chocolate parfait were the highlights, but it all tasted delicious! Our waiter Ewan was absolutely excellent and gave great recommendations based on our tastes. Thank you for a first class dining experience!”

  “We have visited many times but our recent one was the best yet, warm welcome as always from Andrew and Lauren. Perfectly made cocktails, beautiful food and the most attentive service. Even the gluten free bread tasted delicious. I have multiple allergies and I felt so relaxed I was able to just enjoy the food and not give it a second thought. This means the world to me & my partner being able to enjoy it with me. Can’t thank you all enough.”

  “Lovely place with good food and service. It is a tad bit expensive which was okay for us as we visited for a special celebration (our anniversary.) They even welcomed us with a wee card which was a nice touch. It's worth a visit for a special meal. Thank you.”

  “From the very beginning, the team at The Butcher Shop Glasgow were incredibly warm and thoughtful. They took me to my table, organised a birthday card for my husband, and even made sure we got the window seat I requested. They kept an eye out for my husband arriving and personally walked him to the table, which I really appreciated. The service was excellent from start to finish. The steak was cooked perfectly, the dessert was amazing, and the whole atmosphere felt relaxed and welcoming. Something that really stood out: I lost a very important bracelet that day, and they actually found it, put it safely in an envelope, and called me the same day to let me know. That meant so much to me. Overall, a wonderful experience and truly exceptional service. Definitely a 5-star visit.”

  “So, this was our anniversary dinner and we picked one of our favourite places to make memories. We had such a wonderful time a few years ago on this day and in this place, so we knew it's no brainer. I had requested a booth bit staff acknowledged that and apologised and wished us straightway. We even had a little card on the table with an anniversary message. The waitress was one of the best! Forgot to check her name, but remembered her from the last visit in the summer. She was super attentive, wished us well, knew we had a voucher even before we could mention it and served us with a big smile which always makes a difference. The food was great as always especially the scotch egg starter, pork cheeks, the sharing tomahawk and the dessert! I do miss the old days when you got a glass of bubbly on the house but times have changed so hey ho. Overall, we had a wonderful time. Price is ob the higher end but it was a special day.”
