Customer Review Summary

Curries draw the most consistent praise, with diners repeatedly singling out rich, flavourful mains such as a lamb Laal Maas suggested by one waitress, a Chicken Chat in patia sauce, and garlic naan dripping in butter. Starters come in for mention too, including a Tandoori starter and generous veg pakora, and several describe portions as large enough for doggy bags. Most reviewers describe the service and atmosphere warmly, calling the staff welcoming and the decor pleasant, though a run of complaints centers on takeaway and delivery mishaps: one reviewer reports a meal for two arriving without rice and being refused a replacement, another describes an overcooked mixed grill lamb and a manager who was rude on the phone and hung up, and a collection order took fifty minutes with no apology offered when queried. One visitor also notes potholes in the car park and uncomfortably loud music on a return visit. Despite these service breakdowns around takeaway orders, dine-in accounts more often close on staff going out of their way, including a server offering a personal dish recommendation that a diner said they'd order again.

“Update June 2026: Just spoke to the boss man, the opening hours are now: 5pm onward Tues and Wed, and 12.30 onward Thursday through to Sunday (closed Mondays). Wonderful first visit here: +Staff are lovely, so friendly and welcoming. +Great atmosphere; thanks to the staff, presentable restaurant, and the excellent decor - spacious yet homely. +Lots of gluten-free vegan options on the menu, even had choices for me on the lunchtime menu (which is a miracle). +Toilets as are fit for a palace; the fine decor etc isn't reserved for the restaurant floor alone. +Lovely food; I wanted more, which is always a sign that it's good. Portion sizes were good as the person I was dining with loved their food, but could not finish it. -Giant potholes in the car park. -Music was at an uncomfortably high volume on my second visit. A classy place with great food, I will definitely be back👍”

“Don’t use this place. We ordered the meal for 2 and they didn’t pack the rice. Called up to tell them and they said the order was checked and we’ve got rice. If I was going to phone up and kid on I didn’t have something it wouldn’t be rice. They refused to send it. Joke of a place. All for a portion of rice they couldn’t be bothered sending it out when it’s their mistake. In response to the owner. When I called I was told the order had been checked, I explained that obviously there had been a mistake from your end but I was repeatedly told “the order was checked” this implies your staff felt I wasn’t telling the truth. When I asked if a rice could be sent out the reply I got was “it will take time as we need to wait for the driver and have other deliveries” this isn’t exactly a great reply baring I mind the mistake was the restaurants and I was left with 2 curries and no rice. I explained that I would leave a review based on my experience as my wife was carrying out a TikTok video to post about what we got from phat bhuna that I would mention the customer service regarding the missing rice. Your member of staff took umbrage and stated I was not getting my rice. £27 wasted in my eyes, if I’m honest, the rogan Josh tasted like a korma and the curry was tasteless. Certainly not somewhere I’ll recommend or consider using again. The restaurant next to you was much better in my experience, great customer service and the food was on point.”

“What a fantastic level of service. The food was absolutely out of this world, what quality. Thank you to Dalvinder, Roma and their staff. I bought my family here and the staff there gave us such brilliant services, they treated us with so much respect and love. We felt so welcomed. It was very reasonably priced also and in that the portions were very generous. Thank you everyone for such a good day/night. We will visit again very soon.”

“Ordered for collection tonight was told 20 mins took 50 mins which was fine as very busy, tried to query if we had been overcharged they rectified however no apology given made more to feel like it was an issue that I have raised it. Got food home veg pakora cold but lovely! The mixed grill lamb completely overcooked and inedible called the restaurant was told at first by the girl it was “very strange” as they don’t leave orders laying, no one said they had we said it was overcooked was put on to the manager who was in all honesty quite rude to me and told me there was no issue with it and to bring it back for the chef to look at it said I wasn’t doing so as I had waited such a long time so said it would be the last I would order from them and was hung up on by the manager terrible service and not likely to return which is a shame as been a loyal customer since opening everyone can have an off night especially busy peak times but no need to be rude to people or hang up when they’ve sent their hard earned money in your establishment.”

“We received our takeaway tonight. Delivery driver followed our request exactly, leaving our toddler asleep (not ringing the bell), it arrived on time, hot and delicious. The starters were generous portions, nice, a little basic but no complaints. The curries were exceptional! Absolutely delicious! We usually go to Mother India in the west end to get a takeaway but it’s so nice to have a decent and not only decent but delicious curry in Cambuslang. Wonderful find and delight not to have to drive to the other side of the city for a good curry!”
