Quick info
About Kahawa Mzuri Specialty Coffee
Kahawa Mzuri Specialty Coffee is a Glasgow coffee shop on Dumbarton Rd that pairs Kenyan chai and mandazi with Ethiopian-inspired decor. The coffee list runs from a house blend to speciality coffees made with beans from around the world, with Ethiopian coffee highlighted, and speciality decaf is also on offer. Matcha comes in a saffron version, and the homemade cakes and bakes include vegan options. Books sit out around the room for anyone who wants to browse. The café also hosts craft evenings and English Language classes, so the space serves as a meeting place beyond the counter. It is open every day except Tuesday.

“Really great speciality coffee at Kahawa Mzuri with a warm, welcoming feel and friendly service. The coffee was excellent, really smooth and rich with a nice balance, and it felt properly well made rather than rushed. Overall a really solid spot for a proper sit in coffee and I’d definitely come back.”

“Everything about this coffee shop is perfect. The coffee itself, the bakes, the atmosphere are all exactly what you hope for. Kieran and his staff are incredibly welcoming and also very helpful when you can’t decide between all the delicious drink options. This place also opens later than most and hosts craft evenings and English Language classes. If you want a cosy drink and bake and some “you time” alone, this is the place. If you want to catch up with friends and maybe play a game of MTG… this is the place. You get my point. :)”
