  “The food is definitely upper end but every time we've been we feel totally rushed. Asked for the drinks/wine menu and literally 1 min later they came back and asked what we wanted! Also, kept getting our glasses topped up when we didn't asked - just felt rushed. We were in and out in 75 mins. Good food but they need to ease up on rushing you! Ps if you have a gift voucher, make sure you spend it all as they basically don't reimburse any underspend...”

  “My husband and I haven’t visited the Amber Regent for a while, but decided to take advantage of their Sunday evening half-price main course offer. Top quality Cantonese cuisine, just as remembered from past visits. We ordered a special of King Prawns with Mango and a Sweet & Sour chicken dish. Both were delicious. The staff are very professional and attentive. Fantastic value for very good quality food. We plan to return very soon.”

  “Four of us, two couples lunched at Amber Regent on Friday 15 th May, booked for 1330, aware that they did close in the afternoon after lunch, advised 1415 was last time they would accept a booking so 1330 allowed plenty of time for a leisurely lunch. However from the minute we arrived until we left we all felt that everything was hurried, the Restaurant was quiet and I don't think anyone came in after us, the impression we got is that they were in a hurry to get us served and get us out as quickly as possible, did spoil our visit and probably would not go back as a result. However, to be fair, despite being hurried the service was professional, the food was nice and reasonable value compared to other Chinese Restaurants in Glasgow, also a nice place.”

  “We recently had the pleasure of having dinner here and I have to say was absolutely superb. We were a table of nine (including three children) and staff could not have been more welcoming to everyone within the party. Food was exceptional, lovely setting and the friendliest of staff. We will certainly be back!!!”

  “Meal for two takeout. The food fine but expensive for what it was: quite salty and the lettuce wrap tasted like the smell of a Chinese takeaway. Chow mein was kinda dry but prawn crackers were good. Arrived a bit lukewarm so had to zap it in microwave but maybe that's the delivery drivers issue. Honestly? Would have been better ordering a portion of fried rice and then just going to M&S and buying one of those banquet boxes for two. Would have tasted just as good at a fraction of the price.”

  “If you're in Glasgow this restaurant is a must 👌 its easy to get to , 5min from Buchannan St , its beautifully decorated with a lovely warm atmosphere . Even though the restaurant is busy , the staff are happy, patient, knowledgeable & very helpful indeed. Myself and my Girlfriend went for the Friday set lunch menu and it was unbelievably tasty, and very generous with the portions . We've booked for a evening dinner in April and can't wait . Highly Recommend 5☆”

  “So disappointed in this place, It came recommended as well! Went on a Saturday night with family and the starters were average at best but the worst part was the main course. If you like curry please avoid, the sauce was extremely tame, no heat to it whatsoever and the chicken was cheap. We were nearly 200 pounds for 4 of us and that was soft drinks as well and only 2 of us had 3 courses, me and my daughter in law had 2 and that was disappointing enough for us. Won’t be back.”

  “Went in myself for dinner around 7.40pm on a Tuesday. Didn't book. Nice welcome, menu,asked what drinks I wanted. Ordered vegetable spring rolls and chicken curry with chips. Minutes later a bowl of prawn crackers and 2 dips arrived. Meal was lovely. Couldn't fault it. Will be back.”

  “Absolutely beautiful place and loved the food and service!! All was great, I had Satay chicken and my boyfriend had the garlic and plum duck. We both enjoyed our meal so much and we wished we had room for pudding but unfortunately our bellies were quite a bit full. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting to go out for a date night!!”
