About The Rest
The Rest pairs a bar and restaurant on Neilston Road in Glasgow, with a separate bar area where dogs are welcome and a larger dining room to the side. The restaurant area was redecorated when the place reopened, and the whole space sits on one flat level, with a step-free entrance for visitors with mobility needs. Pizzas run through the menu, among them one called The Scotsman, alongside burgers and steak, and the list stretches wide enough to cover a range of tastes. A kids' menu and highchairs suit families with young children. Guests are greeted and shown to a table, with table service throughout, and reservations are recommended. The doors open daily, and outdoor seating gives the option of eating outside in good weather. Long tables can be set up for parties of around 30, so larger groups fit in the dining room.

Customer Review Summary
Pizza anchors most of the praise here, with one diner singling out The Scotsman Pizza and a regular family naming the burgers and pizzas as what keeps them coming back. Close behind sits the Katsu curry, called fantastic by one visitor since the reopening, and another mentions looking forward to the steak. Several describe generous portions and reasonable prices, and parents note a kids menu and highchairs alongside what one calls a relaxed atmosphere suited to families. Staff draw warm, repeated mention, greeted with smiles, promptly seated, attentive throughout, and the owner is described as taking real time chatting with tables rather than a passing hello. The few reservations are mild: one regular is disappointed a favourite tap beer is gone, one observes that one side of the room runs darker than the other, and another found the larger dining side apparently closed late in the evening. A family who booked a party for thirty one describes an enormous laid table and the whole room singing as the birthday cake came out.

“I have been meaning to leave a review for a while. This is by far our favourite restaurant, we're very lucky it's so local. We have been several times for lunch/dinner with my young son, there is a kids menu and highchairs available. The staff are lovely and very attentive. The food is absolutely delicious and reasonably priced too. We particularly like the burgers and pizzas. The restaurant provides a lovely relaxed atmosphere which is perfect for families.”

“This place is definitely a gem! My friend and I called in for a last-minute late lunch and were greeted on arrival by a friendly young girl with long, fair hair who promptly seated us. She and her colleague, a young man with short, dark hair were amazing and very helpful. The food was first class too. Generous portions, very tasty and great value for money. Strongly recommended.”

“Very nice place, large space for dinners to the side but looked closed late evening. Still had nice selection of food to keep us going”

“Really lucky to have this place on our doorstep. Food is delicious and the staff are always really kind and helpful. Great place to come as a family. Good range of drinks at reasonable prices. Slightly disappointing that they bo longer sell Drygate Seven Peaks on tap but plenty of other options available.”
