Customer Review Summary

Diners consistently single out the hearty, well-portioned food, with fish and chips and handmade beef burgers repeatedly praised as hot, tasty, and plentiful. The friendly, chatty staff and welcoming atmosphere draw repeat visits, with many noting the quick service and reasonable prices. Several highlight the spacious beer garden and the varied menu, including gluten-free and vegan options. A few mention the pub can get busy and noisy, especially during football, and one reviewer notes the restaurant was rather cold. One group of diners enjoyed lentil soup, garlic creamy mushrooms on crusty bread, and large soft drinks.

It was busy and noisy but Football was being shown. Usually a good bit quieter. We were there for about 5 hours and cost included all food and drink.

I visited Cross Stobs Inn with my friends for the first time today. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the food was lovely and very reasonably priced.

Been coming to Cross Stobs on and off of near 25 years now, I now bring my grown up children you enjoy coming too. The service is always quick and friendly. The food is awesome with big portions and fresh ingredients. The only downside side is the restaurant was rather cold . But will definitely recommend the Cross Stobs for a filling hearty meal.

Only our second time here for lunch. Two staff members were so lovely and friendly, would come past and chat to us. we were sitting looking out to the beer garden, which looks great, sadly too drizzly for us that day. …

How this listing is sourced

Where the data comes from
Name, address, hours, contact details, amenities, ratings and review counts come from the business's publicly available profile data — not from the owner and not from paid submissions.
How it stays current
Listings are re-checked in batches against their public profile, and anything reported as wrong is corrected at the source rather than patched on the page.
How it is ranked
Placement is never sold. Every business on the page is ordered and compared using the same public signals, so an owner cannot pay to move up.
