Customer Review Summary
Chips are what reviewers argue about most, and opinion splits sharply. Fans call the homemade chips "lush" and "really nice," and one recalls them as the best in the north east, yet others say they have changed, describing them as soggy, greasy and tasteless. One reviewer reports chips being scooped with a cut-off plastic milk bottle. Close behind, positive reviewers praise fresh, piping hot food and quick collection, and one regular comes most Saturdays. Honey chilli crispy beef and Singapore noodles are called tasty but sweet rather than spicy. Complaints centre on quality slipping after a suspected change of ownership: gloopy sauces heavy with corn starch, bland rice and chicken balls, and tiny, poor ribs. Two reviewers received wrong or missing items, and one says to always check orders. Others describe the shop as not looking clean and still having its screen up. One reviewer suggests calling ahead to pre-order, and finds staff clear and punctual.

“Shop still looks like it's in COVID, with screen and all and food was massively disappointed too, order chicken Egg fuo Yung, special chow mein curry and chips and Ribs, honestly the worst ribs ever tiny bits and not very nice, gave them cats, chips so greasy the paper vanished and tasted of the cheapest potato you can get, wish they were frozen chips instead, cracker thin and tasteless too, overall not be back.”
