About A Taste Of Thailand
A Taste Of Thailand is a Thai restaurant in Fleetwood, run from a market stall on Victoria St by two women who both cook and serve. Pad Thai anchors the menu, alongside Massaman chicken curry and pork "money pockets" served with a plum sauce dip. The food is freshly cooked, so each order is prepared as it comes in. Diners choose their own spice level, from mild up to Thai spicy.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the Thai curries and noodle dishes, with Pad Thai named repeatedly, alongside a Massaman chicken curry, a Thai green curry and Phad Kaprao that one reviewer compares to Bangkok street food. Spring rolls, salt and chilli chips, pork money pockets with plum sauce dip and garlic chicken noodles also get mentions. Several say everything is freshly cooked, portions are big, and the spice level can be chosen. The two women who cook and serve draw the most consistent praise, described as friendly, welcoming and happy to chat about Thai food. Reviewers often call the food authentic. The one negative comes from a diner who says a pork dish that was great at first later turned tough like shoe leather, and who waited 40 minutes for a chicken satay starter while feeling ignored. Several first-time visitors, some working in Fleetwood or visiting the market, say they plan to return.

“The best. Tastes unreal. Cooked fresh. Both the ladies who work there are the friendliest. I have a really lovely time every time I go there.”

“When 1st opened the Pork dish was amazing, a few months later it was like shoe leather. Today I waited for a starter of Chicken Satay and un LUCKY for me I was ignored big time. 40 minutes. Its a starter. You cant cook everything in an air fryer and fob your customers off. Very very dissapointed indeed.”

“These are the nicest people I've dealt with in a long time. Food is amazing too, will definitely return the next time we are done. Big 5 stars”

“I have eaten Thai food all over the UK and all over Thailand…. But this place was up there with one of the best. Certainly the best takeaway I have had in recent years if not ever. The staff were extremely friendly, it was nice to chat with them about their culinary expertise and general chat about Thai food. If you are working in Fleetwood (like myself) or there on a day out, stop by, you won’t regret it 🙌🏼”
