Customer Review Summary
Chicken dumplings (momo) come up most often, with reviewers calling them delicious and pretty good, and the chicken tikka masala is described as creamy with plenty of chicken. Close behind are the Sabji Guchha (potato with cheese) from the Chef's Specials, which one vegetarian reviewer calls "SO, SO, SO good", along with the lamb tikka, chicken noodles, vegetable fritters with soft aubergine, and spiced okra. Reviewers describe friendly, efficient staff who coped with a busy night near a conference and with groups of 6, 8 and 13. Several mention reasonable prices and no automatic service charge. The recurring caveat is heat: the house special was found a little bland and lacking spice, a "very hot" curry was milder than expected, and a medium tikka masala left one diner wishing for hot. One suggests asking the waiter for extra spice. One family also describes a 40-guest birthday party where the owner personally delivered the food in army tins that kept it piping hot.

“My family have been going to Gurkha Palace for over 10 years. We recently had a birthday party with 40 guests. Surya and his team provided all the food along with plates and serving items. I was worried the food wouldn't be hot because we were a twenty minute drive away, but Surya personally delivered it using army tins that kept it piping hot. He helped us serve up and even took away the dirty plates after. The guests were in awe at the food and we were so grateful to Surya and his team for making it happen. We have always loved going to the restaurant and look forward to enjoying their food for many years to come. Tom, Sarah and family.”
