Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often point to friendly, helpful staff, with several describing a server who went over and above on a family birthday and another team that handled a child's food allergy without fuss. Close behind is the football, with the pub called a good place to watch the match, and the Wacky Warehouse for kids gets a mention. Food opinions split. Praise goes to hot, tasty meals and a 2 for classic menu deal, plus free refills on hot drinks. Others were let down: a chicken new yorker with leathery bacon and poor coleslaw, a roast dinner swimming in gravy with tiny, burnt roast potatoes, and food described as Wetherspoons quality at a higher cost. One reviewer calls the draught selection limited and the decor in need of a refresh. Another says that for the second time the kitchen was closed at 8:00 PM on an England match night, although the website listed it as open until 9:00 PM.

“The venue looks fine, great to watch the football. Clean restaurant and staff were friendly . Food was very prompt. Mrs had chippea curry which was fine, I had chicken new yorker not so fine. Chips, peas and onion rings great, coleslaw foul, bacon was like leather and the chicken, was certainly processed alright. Left some chicken as foul ( pun intended) I guess 2 dinners and 2 drinks for just under £25, wish I'd had the cooked breakfast now.”

“Absolutely amazing time the staff were all really friendly especially Sian made sure we had the best time and got everything we need while still taking all the food out for all the other tables she is an absolute credit to the company. The food was delicious and completely worth the money. Will defiantly be returning.”
