  “Avoid! It's amaizing place as the location but that will be all!!! We couldn't order from main menu as it was just for people that they booked for! Im sorry burger and chips ! You have to book?!!! When I point that out that we weren't allowed but the people next table got it that what they say to me ! It's just a joke! We wait for pizza and chips for 50 minutes after 30 minutes I asked where is the food and I heard the staff speaking to "chef" let's call him that way! That this already is gone! Joke really do not go there for anything more then drink an view!”

  “The place is run down ,the garden backing on to the river is even more run down . The outside food was terrible, scampi and chips in a basket .. 5 little scampi and a few chips which were dry and tasteless.. won't return anything soon”

  “Fish and chip lunch for my birthday last Friday with some ale! Relaxed setting next to the river Avon with lovely staff. One of the best pubs in the area.”

  “Driving for many miles and decided to stop for a spot of lunch. The food sign invited us to park up and venture inside. Sadly we were told there was no food other than crisps ( maybe because it was s Monday) so we left.”

  “The pub is situated in the centre of the village of Wyre Piddle. We visited this pub 12 months ago and the food, ambience was fantastic. I booked a table for 10 on 4 July on advising the staff we had arrived we then had to arrange the tables to accommodate our party ( strike 1). When we were presented with the menus we assumed they gave us their lunch menus but no this was the one and only menu ( strike 2). The menu was uninspiring and when I spoke to the recent new manager and offered sone customer feedback, he gave me the impression he wasn’t bothered ( strike 3). We walked out and found a lovely Italian restaurant in Pershore. For anyone who wishes to visit the Anchor here is the menu and prices £9.95 for a cheese sandwich.”

  “Only stayed for a pint. Really nice place, which I'm guessing is pretty busy once the weather gets better, with verandahs above the river. Did not see any food, but wifey liked the Mulled wine. Lady behind bar was helpful, place was warm. I'm sure we will return at some point”

  “Dropped in for food while in the area on business. What a brilliant pub on the banks of the river Avon. A very nice and relaxing decking area alongside the river with beautiful views. The Maple Bacon Burger was next level, freshly breaded large portion of chicken breast as well👌. Highly recommended. …”

  “Good pub with a modest selection of real ales. The food looked popular. Nicely and interestingly decorated with garden overlooking the Avon. Friendly manageress. Definitely worth a visit ☺️”

  “Views are nice only came in for a drink. Staff are polite thought i was a bit pricey for a pint and basically a medium size wine with lemonade near 15 pound. For thatreason it lost a star but on the whole enjoyed it. I think next time i go it will have to be afternoon time to get the sun”
