“I came here for breakfast based on the great reviews, but unfortunately I was very disappointed by the poor quality of the products. I spent four days in Edinburgh, and this was, in my opinion, the worst breakfast I had during my stay. The coffee beans were not of good quality. I had to add sugar just to make the coffee enjoyable. I ordered the lemon poppy seed cake, and it was clearly not freshly made that day. It was dry and also underbaked, with parts of the batter still raw. It tasted like a ball of sugar. On the other hand, the blueberry muffin was okay.”

“Went here yesterday with a friend and honestly just had such a lovely time. The interior is really charming with lots of tables. It's the kind of place you actually want to stay in for a while rather than grab and go. The staff were so kind and accommodating, which honestly isn't always a given. And the tea menu has actual variety on it, which I appreciated (it's nice not to be stuck choosing between the same few tea options). If you want somewhere to sit with good people, read, or get a little work done, and not feel rushed, this is it.”
