  “We had the best afternoon with the world of imagination cocktail menu. The staff were so friendly and really helped add to the experience. The cocktails (although very sweet) were great, all different with their own little bit of theatre to it. We really enjoyed it and will definitely be back."”

  “Excellent cocktail experience for “Happily Ever After” Shrek. Service was fabulous and the cocktails were all delicious. Brilliant theming, so much effort has clearly gone in it, the dragon eggs were a particular highlight. Please ignore the bad reviews on this venue, i honestly think people are deluded. How is 5 themed cocktails for £49 bad value- maybe Wetherspoons would be more their scene.”

  “This was my first experience at Somewhere by Nico (Edinburgh) I was very impressed with the venue, the themed menu A world of pure imagination. The drinks were fantastic, staff were brilliant and provided a fantastic service. We will be back for the Shrek themed menu.Thanks again for a wonderful afternoon 😊”

  “It’s a fun gimmick but the cocktails are bang average and the service feels rushed. Cocktails are designed to be very very sweet, I imagine to make them palatable to as many people as possible. However by the 5th, I just needed water to clear the sugar and acid from all the citrus from my mouth. Often the next round of drinks were served to us before we had finished our last. We were a later booking and the tables were clearing for any walkings but we were well within the opening hours so didn’t really understand the pace to get through everything. Fun to try but very unlikely to return. You can get much better in the centre of Edinburgh for a similar price.”

  “Quite expensive for little value. My wife and I went for the Mean Girls cocktail experience but we were both underwhelmed and didn't enjoy most of the cocktails. Majority of the cocktails were just a basic combination of a strong alcohol e.g. vodka, gin or rum with some syrup and garnish. They felt very lacking and tasted more like drinking spirits on the rocks than a cocktail experience. The staff were friendly and also understanding when we cancelled early but even with good service it's not somewhere I would return to.”

  “Visited around Christmas time, fun experience to do with friends. Staff were great, very attentive and can’t fault. Could do with having more choices re cocktails in the actual experience. Some of the cocktails weren’t that nice, but that may just be personal preference! Overall fun experience but don’t know if I’d rush back.”

  “Had a fab time at the House of Horrors theme yesterday! We’ve been a few times and although we enjoyed it, always found that there were some teething issues with the execution of the themes. However, yesterday was different. We were served by Faye and Gwen(?) and the service was seamless. The drinks flowed perfectly one after the other. We weren’t rushed but we were never waiting either. The staff were all lovely and had just enough enthusiasm.”

  “An amazing place and an amazing idea. Guests will be invited to become adventurers and mixologists the storytellers, with stories in every drink in a carefully curated two hour cocktail experience for £65pp. Today was the Wizard of Oz. Six courses and 5 matching taster bites. Brilliant idea and brilliantly executed just book it and go!”

  “Great concept for special occasions, they certainly packed in the drinks in a short time. The snacks alongside food were great as with that much alcohol you didn't want full meals. I would say the cocktails covered a broad range of spirits so not for the fussy drinkers, we visited the new venue in Edinburgh and they styling was modern, it gets quite loud inside due to quite hard furnishings so just be mindful if you want a quieter catch up. Staff are excellent, very friendly and knowledgeable, a few teething issues as often a drink would arrive with a food pairing 10 mins later, some courses would follow very quickly and longer waits for others. One gripe is 12.5% service gets added as standard on the bill, I get why they do this, just a bit of a pet peeve. The sort of place you visit twice a year, enjoy some theatre on drinks and leave mildly tipsy!”
