About Meadows Tap
Meadows Tap is a fully vegan rock pub in Edinburgh, on Causewayside, run by Rabbit Food. The menu is plant-based throughout and centres on burgers and hot dogs, which the pub calls dawgs and serves wrapped in a thick flatbread. The Risk It For A Brisket burger comes with BBQ brisket and mac and cheese, and loaded fries sit alongside it on the menu. A rock playlist covers classic and modern hard and alternative rock, and retro video games add to the nostalgia theme. The bar pours cocktails and beers, with the Back in Black espresso cocktail among them, and keeps a selection of non-alcoholic beers for anyone skipping alcohol. The pub opens Tuesday to Sunday and closes on Mondays.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers centre on the vegan brisket burger, with the "Risk It For A Brisket" burger and the BBQ brisket with Mac & not-Cheese singled out repeatedly, and several call it among the best burgers they have eaten, meat ones included. Close behind are the mac and cheese, the lasagna fries and lasagna baws, and a dawg wrapped in flatbread and packed with saucy mac and cheese. The basic bunny burger and its house sauce also draw praise, as do loaded fries, mac and cheese bites and sticky toffee pudding. On the drinks side, one reviewer enjoyed the Back in Black espresso cocktail, another the s'mores milkshake, and a designated driver liked the non-alcoholic beer selection. Staff are described as friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere as retro and chill, and the music as 10/10. Reviewers also note it is very dog friendly. No recurring complaint appears, though one reviewer rated the basic bunny burger five stars for food only because it was the burger available during their visit. Several say they would return, and one reviewer was surprised the food was all vegan.

“This place is absolutely amazing. It's a vegans dream. The atmosphere is cozy and retro, the prices are okay and the service is also great. I recommend the lasagna fries, they absolutely amazed me. Great in every aspect.”

“I had the brisket burger and it was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had! I also want to shout out the delicious mac and cheese bites and sticky toffee pudding. This is the type of food that I feel like sometimes vegans miss out on so to find it somewhere with such a great vibe and lovely people working there was really great!!! I would definitely come back here on any future trips to Edinburgh”

“This was the BEST burger I have ever eaten! (Also taking into consideration the ones with real meat). The house sauce is sooo yummy. If I would need to recommend my friends 1 place to eat in Edinburgh, it would be here. I only ordered the “basic bunny”, so I can’t really say anything about the other items. But they also looked really good :)”

“The food was absolutely amazing, me and my friend loved this place. We had a hard time believing the food was all vegan, the lasagna baws were phenomenal. I highly recommend this place we would definitely come again.”

Serving up the most outrageous plant based burgers, dawgs & dirty fried in Edinburgh alongside cocktails, beers, boozy shakes with retro video games & 80s/90s/00s nostalgia. Dog friendly.”
