About Rossi's Eastbourne
On Cornfield Rd in Eastbourne, Rossi's Eastbourne is an Italian restaurant with a menu built mainly around pasta, with risotto and classic mains alongside. The seafood pasta comes covered with pizza dough, which brings the pizza and pasta sides of the kitchen together in a single dish. Lasagna is on the pasta list, and pizza has its own place on the menu. Tiramisu leads the dessert menu, next to chocolate cake. Waitresses serve at the table, and the restaurant offers set menus, including a Valentine's set menu of three courses and a coffee. It opens Monday to Saturday and closes on Sundays.

Customer Review Summary
Diners most often single out the friendly, attentive waitresses, who several say made an anniversary, a birthday and a Valentine's set menu feel special. Pasta comes close behind, from a seafood pasta served under pizza dough to bolognaise, lasagna and marinara spaghetti. Lamb shank, calf's liver in onion gravy and fritters are also praised as generous and delicious. Reviewers describe a cosy, welcoming room, and one says their dog was made welcome too. Desserts draw mixed comments, with one reviewer finding the chocolate cake slightly dry and the tiramisu light on coffee flavour. One reviewer's account is far harsher: a rancid panna cotta, bland mains, supermarket bread, tasteless tomatoes on the bruschetta, and a set menu imposed on their table while another diner had spaghetti vongole. They say their feedback left them feeling like the problem, and that they were not charged for the meal. Another family describes the owner gifting a bottle of wine after a meal following their son's funeral.

“We went to Rossi’s for a dinner on my husband’s birthday. Staff were attentive and helpful. The atmosphere is lovely and welcoming. We ordered fritters as a starter, lamb shank and bolognaise for our main meal. The portions of food are generous and delicious x Its genuine taste brings out my memory in Florence. It perfectly made our day xxx We will definitely come back again.”

“We visited Rossi's after our son’s funeral, and the kindness we received meant more than we can express. The owner showed such genuine compassion and even gifted us a bottle of wine, which truly touched us during such a difficult time. The restaurant is cosy, the food is beautiful, and they made our dog feel just as welcome too. A place full of warmth and humanity—we will never forget it. ❤️”

“So bad they didn't charge for the food, which was pretty decent of them actually. Inedible (rancid) panna cotta. Bland mains & starters. Supermarket bread and tasteless tomatoes for the bruschetta. Obligate set menu for us, but not the regular customers, seemingly (spotted someone with spaghetti vongole which was not on the set menu). When we gave the requested feedback, we were made to feel like no one else complained, so we were obviously the problem.”

“We were accommodated to last minute on such a busy night, and were made welcome immediately as we walked in the door. The waitresses were incredible, so friendly and efficient making sure we had a wonderful experience. The food was beautiful and came out relatively quickly for such fresh food and was piping hot and the venue itself is just lovely. Would highly recommend. Thank you for a wonderful evening ☺️”
