Quick info
About Boom Battle Bar Eastbourne
Boom Battle Bar Eastbourne is a bar on the first floor of The Beacon in Eastbourne, next to Nandos, with axe throwing, crazy golf, shuffleboard, darts, beer pong and snooker under one roof. Axe throwing comes with staff on hand to assist and keep score, and guests do not drink before or during a session. Shuffleboard can be pre-booked ahead of a visit. Pool tables sit alongside the crazy golf course, so the games run beyond the axe lanes. The drinks menu centres on cocktails and includes a Bally's milkshake drink. Food is limited to picky food.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often come for the axe throwing, with staff guiding scoring and giving tips and one couple calling it fantastic and repeatable. Shuffleboard, pool and crazy golf follow close behind, and one reviewer praised a good quality pool table and relaxed timing. Mini golf also drew a mixed response. Staff friendliness comes up repeatedly, with several singling out hosts and bar staff as welcoming and looking after guests. One reviewer, who liked the games and venue, found the drinks uneven, with a few lovely cocktails and a mojito they could not drink. Another said drinks took a long time and had to be requested twice. One reviewer called the evening expensive, and another felt the mini golf was a short game that left the bar run down, with boring music and no atmosphere. Shuffleboard was in use all evening for one group, who suggest pre-booking it and starting with axe throwing if drinking later. Another described being let onto the mini golf course after a booking mistake.

“Had an amazing date here with my lady - we did 30 minutes of axe throwing an hour of pool and, because I made a mistake with the booking, they let us do the mini golf course as well. The axe throwing was fantastic - I didn't catch her name but the blonde lady was really lovely and joked along with us as we both struggled to hit the target. It was great fun and definitely a repeatable experience. The pool was great as well - good quality table and cues and they were very relaxed about the timing so there was no pressure to start or finish on the hour. Shout out to the barman as well who made us some fantastic cocktails. Highly recommended for a day out with friends, family, or an exciting date with a special someone. 10/10!”

“Very run down "games" bar, we spent £20 on the "mini" golf and mini is what it was, a 10 minutes game. Music was boring and no atmosphere whatsoever.”
