Customer Review Summary
Breakfast is the main draw, with reviewers singling out the Alternative Breakfast of sourdough toast with mushrooms, eggs, avocado slices and rocket under a balsamic dressing. The Butchers Breakfast and its sausage and bacon from the attached family butchers come close behind, and one reviewer calls the double espresso the best outside Italy. Lunch and dessert also earn praise, including a chicken flatbread with pesto, a steak and ale pie, pavlova and sticky toffee pudding from a monthly changing special menu. Reviewers describe the staff as welcoming and attentive, the portions as generous, and the garden and country kitchen feel as homely. A table call button for ordering and paying is singled out as convenient. The recurring trade-off is space. It is a small cafe that gets very busy, so several say booking ahead is best, though a few without a reservation still found a table. One reviewer calls it not cheap, while another rates the value very good. Parking is mostly on a road used by farm traffic, where one reviewer asks that space be left.

“You must try this place the food is delicious and it’s a family business with the butchers next door we’ve become regulars and once you’ve been you will understand why”

“Our hot drinks & food was very nice indeed. There is outside toilet which is for everyone who uses the cafe. There have outdoor seats spare. The area is nice. I have been to it before and it was nice then, but they have done some building work on the property and it services them well. It's difficult to say what food to eat because it all looked wonderful.”

“Fortunately we were able to get a table without booking, ( booking recommended) very busy. Food and service Tops. Well worth a visit.”
