Customer Review Summary

Afternoon tea is what most reviewers come for, with scones, sandwiches and cakes described as soft and fresh, and one diner praising a gluten free version. Beyond the tea, one reviewer singles out a belly pork roast cooked to perfection, while another found the lemon cheesecake rich and tart with toasted meringue, and a fruit crumble was called delicious. Staff are repeatedly described as friendly, attentive and helpful, and one couple appreciated the non-pork options offered for them. The art deco setting, matching the hotel, draws regular praise for its decor and background music, and one reviewer calls the pricing reasonable. Several mention a birthday guest eating free when three or more book. The one reservation comes from a visitor who found no atmosphere because they were the only people in the restaurant. Portions are plentiful enough that one regular always takes some home.

“Very nice lovely place. I booked afternoon tea with my husband I always wanted to try it since I came to UK. The place provided the best atmosphere for afternoon tea. Great service, very understanding and helped providing non-pork options as we're Muslims. And food was super💯 Very nice staff very attentive and considerate. Will definitely recommend to friends and will definitely go back for more tea ☕ I'd like to especially thank Daniel for being a great host making the experience as nice as possible 😄”

“First time visiting after just enroute home to Bristol and it was exceptional food! Had a belly pork roast which was cooked to perfection and then my mum had the fruit crumble and said it was delicious. I had the lemon cheesecake which was rich, tart and had toasted meringue. Would 100% revisit if I was local. Staff also wonderful and attentive throughout. A lovely afternoon!”
