About The Windmill Inn
On Queen St in Doncaster, The Windmill Inn is a pub that takes walk-ins only, with no reservations. Hand-pulled cask real ales sit alongside Guinness on tap, and a pool table gives regulars something to do between rounds. Sports TVs around the room show football and other matches. The entrance is step-free, making it straightforward for visitors with mobility needs to get inside, and outdoor seating gives an option for drinking outside. Dogs are welcome, so patrons don't need to leave pets at home. The pub opens daily, with no set closing days to work around. No food is served here, so it operates purely as a drinking spot rather than a place to eat.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the cask ales and draught beer, with the hand-pulled real ales described as in excellent condition, and a Guinness and a Coors both praised as lovely pints. Close behind is the welcoming feel of a traditional community pub, where friendly staff, an open fireplace and a busy atmosphere come up repeatedly. Sports on the TVs, a pool table at 50p a play and a back bar for games also draw mentions, along with a Sunday night general knowledge with a free buffet and sausages and roast potatoes on the bar at Sunday lunchtime. Several note there is no food. Complaints are fewer but specific: one reviewer says the bar staff would only serve regulars and refused a drink to a couple, another saw some aggressive customers on a busy Friday night, and one calls it a little expensive. A wheelchair user describes a tight turn inside, no accessible toilet and a tricky slope to the men's. One reviewer suggests the pool table could do with recovering.

“The windmill lnn is a traditional Victorian or earlier traditional pub with a contemporary feel. It's a real community pub with a pool table and TVs showing Sports. There is a good range of draught beers including three hand pulled cask conditioned real ales, the ones we sampled were in excellent condition. It's a nice community pub, the staff are very friendly and welcoming. A visit is highly recommended.”

“Called in late last night , the bar staff would only serve the regulars ,they were also quite rude ,as I asked for a drink for me and my partner, and go a blatant no ,wow. You obviously have to be in the cloud to get a drink in that pub”

“Magician Elliot has kept his ear to the ground and at least one figure on the pulse in a dynamic industry called P.U.B. for two decades now. Keeps a pint of ale, better and cheaper then the flag ship pub of the said BREWERY that supplies his establishment. Check out Bolt Maker, 70 pence lower then the town it was brewed in 70 miles away. Keep the magic coming Brov. No wounder house building and increasing real estate PRICES are occouring in Thorne, your my hero Ell. Just please don't blow the secret formula and start serving food.”
