  “Jenny made a joint 50th and 18th birthday cake for our party. It was wonderful carrot cake topped with fresh fruit, flowers and macarons. It was absolutely delicious and beautiful. We had so many compliments. I can’t recommend Jenny and the service at Peony highly enough. Thank you.”

  “Dissapointing birthday breakfast yesterday - drinks ok but really poorly , overcooked english breakfast! We ordered 2x smll and 2 x large full breakfasts . Everything cooked to within an inch of its life😩 one good point - nice butchers bangers . Waitress removed the coffees from the bill but sadly we wont return. Shame as two of our party came a couple of weeks ago and recomened it.”

  “We used Peony for catering my mum's funeral. Excellent service, with prompt replies to questions and enquiries. Liam was very helpful and considerate delivered the food to Church. Lots of options so you can tailor the package to what you need. The food was excellent, fresh and delicious with lots of good reviews from people. Very generous portions and high quality ingredients. I would not hesitate to use these again. Thank you.”

  “Finally visited Peony in July for the first time, been going pretty regular ever since, Staff are lovely and friendly, food is fantastic, the 47° Coffee is excellent, but the creme de la creme is the sweet treats, always change regularly and always delicious, our favourites are the Apple Crumble Blondie and The Cherry Bakewell Blondie 😋”

Whether you’re popping in for a quick takeaway coffee or settling down to enjoy something delicious inside, Peony gets everything right. The homemade cakes are nothing short of brilliant. You can really taste the care and quality in every slice, with flavours that change often enough to keep things exciting while always staying reliably delicious. The food menu is equally impressive, offering generous portions and beautifully prepared dishes that suit any time of day. The breakfast cobs, though, deserve a special mention. They are absolutely incredible—properly loaded with sausage, egg, and bacon, and cooked to perfection. They’re the kind of breakfast treat that leaves you full, happy, and already planning your next visit. And of course, the coffee. It’s top-quality, rich, smooth, and clearly made with attention to detail. Whether you choose to take it out on a walk or enjoy it inside the beautifully presented café, you can always count on a consistently great cup.   “Ordered a 50th birthday cake from here for my mum, was so easy to order we just did it online no hassle whatsoever. The cake is fab! tastes great and a lovely design it’s also huge and such good quality, they’re fairly priced aswell! Would definitely order again xxx”

  “Cute little place with the friendliest people. The food was OK. I had a burger and it seemed like the patty came from the frozen food section. Would not recommend having that. My partner had the loaded potato wedges and they were delicious. Those I would definitely order again. We both ordered a coffee as well and those both yummy and perfectly made. Overall we enjoyed our visit, nothing to write home about but was very pleasant.”

  “Jenny made a set of three custom cakes for my sister's wedding and some gluten free vegan brownies for guests with allergies. From start to finish Peony was amazing. The actual cakes were absolutely fantastic, not only did they look beautiful but so many of the guests commented on how delicious the cake was. Would absolutely recommend for any occasion cake. Jenny was so flexible to ideas on how to make the cakes unique and it's so nice to support a local business.”
