About The Little Shed
The Little Shed is a coffee shop at 3 Park Ln in Derby that serves afternoon tea in two forms, the classic and a vegetarian version, so vegetarians can order the full tea as well. Both come with sandwiches, scones with cream, fresh fruit and cakes, and the scones are homemade. A display of cakes and scones sits alongside, with the blueberry lemon cake among the options, and cakes can be bought to take home. The savoury side covers breakfast and lunch dishes such as a Halloumi Lebanese Flatbread, plus homemade soups and charcuterie platters. Coffees, iced drinks and hot chocolates fill out the drinks list. The team brings food and drinks to the table. Dogs are welcome, and a small car park has a 2-hour limit.

Customer Review Summary
Cakes draw the most mentions, from a classic sponge with jam and cream to blueberry lemon cake and black cherry bakewell tart, and several diners took slices home from the big variety on display. Afternoon tea comes close behind, with fresh sandwiches, homemade scones with cream and a vegetarian version, where the pickle served with the cheese gets particular praise. One reviewer notes the scones were freshly made rather than warm. Savoury plates earn credit too, including avocado on toast, poached eggs on toast, filling toasties and a halloumi Lebanese flatbread that exceeded expectations. Drinks singled out include iced coffee, a vanilla latte and a choc orange hot chocolate. Reviewers describe a calm, cozy room and friendly, welcoming staff. The one complaint is that vegan options are not always available among the cakes and scones. One reviewer recalls staff going out of their way to find the name of a dish's garnish for a mum who asked.

“Me and my husband came in today (Saturday), and was greeted so warmly by the staff. Kelsey served us and brought our food and drinks over. She was so polite! 10/10 for service! Iced coffee was spot on too! The small car park was convenient as you get 2 hours there! So we decided to eat. Avocado on toast was 10/10 from me! My husband had the poached eggs on toast and both plates were scraped clean. Will definitely be visiting again! In such a nice area! Would recommend! Cakes also look incredible! 🫶🏽”

“Went for breakfast this morning with a friend, hadn’t been in a while so wasn’t sure what to expect but wow it’s just bloody lovely! We ordered iced coffees with breakfast and the food and drinks were both spot on, service was great - staff really friendly and welcoming! Big variety on cakes too which is nice as you can takeaway etc. will 100% be returning!”

“We visited today for lunch with my husband and our two children, and it was such a lovely experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. As soon as we walked in, the cakes caught our eye — so of course we had to take a few home with us! They were just as amazing as they looked and definitely didn’t disappoint. We’ll certainly be returning! 😊”
