Customer Review Summary

Reviewers mostly leave short praise, calling The Abbey an old and historic pub with great staff, though one describes it as beautiful. The main complaint is a visit where two diet cokes were flat and tasteless, the replacements were the same, and the manager refused a refund. Another reviewer found no food available and called the no-photos rule silly.

“We ordered two diet cokes which were flat and tasteless. I returned them and the barman agreed. He said they had been having trouble and had recently had the mixtures calibrated and would check if the syrup box was empty. He returned and said the syrup was full and poured us two more cokes which were just the same. We returned to our table while he went to speak to his manager. He said that the manager said that was the product they sold and we couldn’t have a refund or discount off the two bottled drinks we had to buy. Very dissatisfied.”

“What a place beautiful so beautiful shame about some of the rules of the place could be so much better also can't give a review on the food as they wasn't food available at the time we was there 🤔 Has alot of potential Photo was taken from the Internet One of the rules no photos can be taken very silly”
