  “Came to eat here with my family, upon arrival we informed the staff that one of our family was gluten free. We were given an iPad and able to check all of the meals. A gluten free Mixed grill was ordered but unfortunately came out including the black pudding (which is not gluten free). Luckily we noticed and asked the staff about it to be sure. We spoke with Arron who very quickly checked and it turned out to be indeed with gluten. He was very apologetic and resolved the issue promptly. We were very impressed with the professionalises of their response and seriousness that they took the matter. Despite the mix-up we had a lovely time and would come again. The only other thing to note is that it took a long time to get the food. We would just like to say again that it was Arron quickly resolving the issue that saved the evening for us and made us able to enjoy ourselves”

  “Pleasant experience, staff appear busy but seemed to mostly manage ok with the orders. Restaurant was very cold though, need to not run the air-conditioning quite so cold! Food was nice, and all came out at the same time.”

  “The team are a dedicated caring slightly crazy a lot of people, and that just makes the whole visit a bit more special and the food is always typically excellent Gabrielle Great server and the chef Karl made a great meal”

  “A lacklustre, shabby Pub management bloke reluctantly opened the door, a minute after opening time, more obsessed with seeing a surprise spider than letting customers in out of the rain. 🤦‍♂️ I dropped my bag and walked to the only visible staff member to order myself a coffee, him, he just directed me to the unstaffed bar ... then gradually ambled over to take my order. Didn't bother to ask if I wanted a latte or cappuccino etc, he just pressed the button for a plain coffee. £3.20 for the blandest coffee I can remember. Music pumping out everywhere, despite the quiet breakfast atmosphere, deafening me in one ear. Loud football commentating in the other. Fortunately the unwarmed cup meant I could drink my brown water quickly and leave this frankly soul-less and uncomfortable atmosphere. Will not be back! Edit: The apathetic attitude from the management can be best summed up in their drab and uncaring reply to this review ...
