Customer Review Summary
Coffee is what reviewers raise most, and they split on it. One calls it great at the reopening under new management, while two describe it as poor, including an oat milk latte made with semi skimmed milk. Tea draws a complaint too, with one reviewer saying it came out completely white, as if the milk was off or creamer had been used. Food gets better marks, described as fresh, well-presented and full of flavour, and another reviewer calls the food and drinks delicious. The park setting earns credit as well, with lovely outside tables, a pond, a playground with scrambling rocks, a skate park and a tram stop at the gate. Several reviewers are glad to see the cafe reopen after years of closure, and one hopes for community events. Friendly staff are the steadiest praise, noted even by the reviewers unhappy with the drinks, including a couple who poured away an Americano and a latte.

“Nice idea to be a coffe shop inside the park but the coffee is so bad quality. I asked for Oat Milk latte and they make the coffee used the semi skimmed milk (by Tesco).”

“I wanted so much to like the new cafe in Wandle Park since we live close by and have been eagerly awaiting its opening. Visited last weekend and ordered two coffees: an Americano and a Latte and sat outside with the view of the park (which is lovely). The coffee was terrible. Without exaggeration, the worst coffee we’ve ever had. We poured it away. The staff were friendly. The tables outside are lovely.”

“Staff were very friendly but the food and drink were not up to standard unfortunately. Would not recommend the tea, either the milk was off or it was made with creamer or something strange and came out looking completely white (tea bags need to brew before adding milk). Only saving grace was that it’s very cheap and nice staff”

“Lovely atmosphere with a warm, relaxed vibe. The food was fresh, well-presented, and full of flavour. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. A great spot to unwind and enjoy a quality meal.”
