Customer Review Summary

Green curry is the dish reviewers raise most, with one praising its texture as less liquid than elsewhere and another calling it superb. Close behind are the Massaman Gai, described as rich and full of flavour with chicken, potatoes and coconut milk, and the Pad Thai, along with the noodle chicken soup, fish curry and prawn noodles. Coconut rice gets a recommendation from more than one diner, and others single out the crispy fried squid, the mango sticky rice and the Chaang beer. Several mention reasonable prices, fresh food and friendly staff, and a few are regulars who return weekly or have come for years. The criticisms are specific. One reviewer found the sweet and sour chicken and chicken and prawn toast basic and not authentically Thai when ordered for delivery. Another felt portions were small, citing three prawns and two mussels in the seafood Gaeng Kiew Talay. One notes food took a bit long to arrive but still called it worth it, and the closing detail from a regular is that they never tire of the flavour.

“I ordered the Gai Priew-Warn (sweet and sour chicken) and Kanom Phang Na Gai (chicken and prawn toast) for delivery. The food was ok and arrived on time, but in my opinion it wasn’t very authentic Thai food. The flavours were quite basic and lacked the depth, freshness and distinctive Thai taste I was expecting. It wasn’t a bad meal, just not the traditional Thai experience I was hoping for. If you’re looking for authentic Thai cuisine, this may not be the place, but if you just want a simple takeaway, it might suit you.”

“Very disappointed, heard good things about this place. We ordered £75 worth of food amongst 3 and the portions were small. In the Gaeng Kiew Talay a seafood dish we got 3 prawns and 2 mussels for £16 - not even a free cracker at that spend. poor”

“The best Thai I've had The Noodle chicken soup is amazing as is rich in flavour, it's not a regular soup The green curry texture is not too liquid as almost all other restaurants, which gives more flavour to the dish. We go every week and we never get tired of the flavour. The menu has a lot of variety dishes and the atmosphere is nice as it gives a fancy but cozy feeling”

“If you are looking for authentic Thai cuisine in Coventry, this place is a true hidden gem. This was my second visit. The first time I tried the Thai green curry and it was absolutely delicious. This time I ordered Massaman Gai along with the famous Pad Thai. The Pad Thai was amazing, perfectly balanced with a mild sweetness and the juicy flavour it should have. The Massaman Gai was the highlight of the meal. It came with chicken, Thai herbs, coconut milk and potatoes, and we paired it with coconut rice. The first spoon felt heavenly. The curry base was incredibly rich and full of flavour. I would definitely recommend this dish to anyone planning a visit. Overall, a fantastic experience once again.”
