  “Unfortunately this was the worst chinese food iv ever had. Bland, watery gravy in beef chow mein, they used vermicelli noodles not chow mein noodles. Chicken fried rice was also flavourless, no onion or carrots, just oily rice with rubber chicken. No thank you sir!!!”

  “This is our go-to Chinese when we order. The young lad at the counter is so polite and friendly on the phone and in person. Prices are decent and the quality of the food is always brilliant. I’ve been ordering from here for over a year since I moved nearby and I will contribute to do so. Thanks to all the team! Best Chinese in Cottingham easily!”

  “My go‑to takeaway. The food is always delicious, hot, flavourful, and reasonably priced. Portions are generous, and I’ve never been disappointed. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the service is always quick. I once placed a large order (around £40) over the holidays for collection, and it was ready in just 20 minutes. We realised when we got home that a portion of chips was missing, but they delivered it straight away with an apology. I wasn’t particularly bothered, but really appreciated them going out of their way to sort it. Definitely recommend if you’re after a quick and tasty takeaway.”

  “Ordered beef curry and egg fried rice, I'm sorry but this was one of the worst Chinese takeouts I've ever had. The egg fried rice had no egg, no spring onions, and was just basically boiled rice with a slight colour to it. Beef curry , beef was like rubber , onions were hard, and the sauce was that thick when I poured it out it just went thud on the plate, and more or less just stood up on the plate. It was totally tasteless, no spice no kick no salt just nothing.”

  “I’ve been ordering from this Chinese takeaway regularly, especially on Friday evenings, and it has never disappointed. The food is always freshly cooked, full of flavour, and you can really taste the quality in every dish. The owner is incredibly kind and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. I usually spend around £30–£40, and more often than not I’m treated to a little something extra like prawn crackers or spring rolls — such a thoughtful gesture that keeps me coming back. It’s easily one of the best takeaways in the area, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone who loves great food and great service.”

  “Ordered here for my first night in a new house. It was very quick to collect and the food was great and very well priced! The portions were also really big which was good. The only complaint I would have would be the vegetable spring rolls, and would recommend to not order them as they only contained cabbage and spring onion. The rest was fantastic though.”

  “I’ve had a lot of Chinese over the years and even worked in one for 5 years but I’ve never seen a Chinese as oily as this. The beef satay had an oil shine to it and was the texture of water, no flavours to it really. The chicken in mushroom again no better, same oily shine to it and only tasted of salt. The only thing slightly better was the yellow bean dishes, this was a thicker sauce but didn’t really have much flavour aside from the spice. Onions were so rubbery they weren’t edible and the noodles were just wet. I’m the type of person to eat chow mein straight out the tub cause they’re usually so flavoursome and yummy. But these were just wet and limp and tasted of nothing. Was really disappointing overall and I can’t say anything was enjoyable. To know they’re happy to serve that amount of oil in food is shocking, for the price and the quality of the food I wouldn’t recommend. Only edible thing we got was the prawn crackers”

  “One good meal one very bad The pic is chicken batter balls which was awful overcook batter and very dry chicken Worse sweet n sour I’ve ever had!!!!! Took the roof of my mouth off! Plz tell me u don’t know when the balls have been in fryer to long? You could bounce them off the floor!!! I know times are hard but seriously what chef would serve this rubbish up !,, The second dish was ok obviously been made fresh For the prices you charge shame on you so wok!,, Won’t use you again Be warned!!!!!”

  “DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS CHINESE! First of all the customer service was awful; we were spoken to so rudely on the phone. Secondly, we had to wait nearly 2 hours for it to be delivered and last but not least our food arrived and it looked absolutely revolting. The chow mein did not even taste like a normal chow mein, the chicken was under cooked therefore we did not eat any of it and they forgot one of our dishes! Please do not waste your time and money! Below is a photo of said ‘chicken chow mein’.”
